I haven't touched an SF game since CE, but I am diggin' this Abel character! Daigo probably wins 9 times out of ten, but he just lost one! It's always refreshing to see professionals players who use anyone besides the fireball-throwin' guys, especially Zangief and now Abel!

Shiro's Reaction time was Godlike non the less, however I dont think he initialy was waiting for the Hadoken for the EX CoD to go through more a Crouching Forward as Daigo was doing them alot but Daigo just did a Hadoken instead and he used the EX CoD
wow, that last combo into ultra -> that reaction time is godlike. how can u possibly pull that off. even if you were buffering the movements to be able to react to a half screen hadoken at that speed is crazy
@Claypool18 i tried an arcade stick & do not like it, i don't know but i have hard time controling the character, but with the PS3 controler, it's all perfect to me
@jayo2k yeah it's hard and weird at first. lol... sounds gross. but anyways. once you get used to the arcade stick, it's a lot easier to use than the controller. it's a lot more rewarding but yeah. i'm better on the controller because i don't play the stick much. but i'm at least decent on the stick.
@erzu17 i remember playing virtua fighter with a friend, we had one normal controler & one arcad stick... Since we were all fighting for the controler we had to set the rule that the winner get the controler & the loser the stick.... well, that led to some epic battle for the controler

@Siberianhusky89 Sure you can look at the game and say it's shallow because of all the flow charting and leniency but the reason why I like the game and it's update is because of the potential for matches like these. You can't look at the above video and say 'everything they just did is simple'. These guys are playing their best and it takes training to do that. I play so I can have matches like these with other people who take the game above reading a flow chart and I find that fun.
I'm actually impressed with Shiro cause he uses the potential of a character that requires more skill than most of the cast. Anyhow, I accept your apology, it's no big deal. I just really don't find this game anywhere near Guilty Gear, Street Fighter 3, some KOF games, Melty Blood, and there were a lot of excellent or interesting games that came out between the span of SF3 and 4. Abel can't win turtling. Being defensive is not turtling, he was playing smart against a good opponent using the second best character is not the best in the game. He used roll, sean kick,, tick throws, all techniques that Abel needs to win.

@RhoamingTV As an Abel main (a surprise to you it seems) I know you can't jump in whenever the fuck you want on Ryu, especially when he has two bars and ultra (same can be applied to Sagat). I was just trying to point out that Shiro, the player, turtles with Abel. And it should be obvious to a Abel player that you have a lot of mix up opportunities on wake up. Including Cross-up mk, and Safe jump. If you bait uppercuts, and know how to roll past zoning, you can have Ryu in the bag.

@Anime0rManga yes, Abel is @ a slight advantage against Ryu. Abel can easily get in, and once he does he will apply major pressure and damage. That is not saying that Ryu doesnt stand a chance against Abel, its just a tough matchup.

damn, daigo practically had the 2nd round when abel had like bar of health and he connected that low mk, could have comboed into hadoken and killed him. Very nice ending though, shrios abel is simply amazing.
What a nice match!! Daigo unleashing the Super right after Shiro absorbed the hado was awesome, not to mention the kick, high punch, shoryu -> fadc -> ultra. Shiro absorbing the hado in the end and then finishing off the game with ultra was simply fabulous.

Abel can't win turtling. Being defensive is not turtling, he was playing smart against a good opponent using the second best character is not the best in the game. He used roll, sean kick,, tick throws, all techniques that Abel needs to win.

Shiro not turtling? Are blind or stupid. Notice how he NEVER jumps in, and only does pokes or safestring to tick throw. And about half of the match shiro is walking back or backdashing.

@RhoamingTV As an Abel main (a surprise to you it seems) I know you can't jump in whenever the fuck you want on Ryu, especially when he has two bars and ultra (same can be applied to Sagat). I was just trying to point out that Shiro, the player, turtles with Abel. And it should be obvious to a Abel player that you have a lot of mix up opportunities on wake up. Including Cross-up mk, and Safe jump. If you bait uppercuts, and know how to roll past zoning, you can have Ryu in the bag.

@ZhangHe2369 So instead of talking out of my ass like I did last week, I took your advice and applied much more pressure to shotos on wake up. mostly Fierce TT and sweep to Roll, or short axle kick. (Feirce TT 220 Dmg - shit load!) and I'd agree with you Shiro took very little risks in this match up, which might not be the best for shotos.
I definitely felt like I won more games by larger margins, 64,000 CP ryu last night and some 40,000s. do you have an xbox live account Zhang?

What a nice match!! Daigo unleashing the Super right after Shiro absorbed the hado was awesome, not to mention the kick, high punch, shoryu -> fadc -> ultra. Shiro absorbing the hado in the end and then finishing off the game with ultra was simply fabulous.
