a lot of people say that you can walk right past the bosses in this game. technically, yeah, you can, but you'd have to be really stupid to do so. you can't even get to dracula without killing carmilla, and dracula's a real pain in the ass without the magic dagger you get from death.

Officially, Death joined dracula to gain even more power than he already possessed... But I like the idea of death losing a bet much more! though by the official reasoning, the belmonts are badasses on such a level that they have defeated a god souped-up on even more power multiple times.

@17Ziek Haunted Castle was basically an arcade version of CV1, and it doesn't really count. But yeah, Simon beat Dracula the most (2 times. Not including Alucard) and also the Belmont you used the most, too. (different revisions of CV1 story wise)

@FrobmanAKATillman Same thing goes for the SNES game, it's really a retelling of the NES classic. But Vampire Killer and Chronicles can easily swithc out the first game.

lol i figured out the tornado and the lake part without nintendo power, the 3rd issue hadnt yet been released so i was playing through the game on my own although i admit it was pretty frustrating, i think i discovered it by accident, i was actually trying different combinations of crystals and other items and kneeling with them and when it finally worked i think i pooped my pants

Loved it dude. Despite not being too big on Castlevania, I thought this was pretty funny. I love the animation because you show tons of improvement here. Plus the way you drew sprite-like designs. I think you should continue the "In Breif" series. Maybe the other Castlevania games or another video game series. Nice work as always.

@LordQuadros Yeah, the original Castlevania game had the difficulty going for it compared to SotN, where you could just level up to easily beat foes left and right. And dying a thousand times is natural when playing the game for the first time. It was a miracle I got to beating Dracula eventually. Still have CVIII and Lords of Shadows to beat...

Luke does excellent voices in this, and the animation is slick! Though maybe you'd save yourself some time by animating the talking heads separate from the bodies so you don't have to keep re-drawing the body in the same post for every frame of mouth movement, though at the same it looks rather nice how everything wiggles like that.

As for the animation, that did come to mind. But I thought that wiggling effect would suit this style of animation more so. At least it doesn't always seem too static or whatever. But I probably might do that sort of thing time to time, depending on the time to make it or if I felt like it. Hehe!
