Those units that were flashing FOUR, not three lights were simply signaling no video connector detected, which for the launch 360s was standard, if you didn't hook the video cable right or at all you got four lights.

The Chinese are really bad about cutting corners in everywhere from over working staff to swapping out a solder or component for one made in China because it's cheaper or out of national pride.

One thing for sure you don't want car parts or castings from China .

Cut corners on an Xbox it RRODs in the middle of a game cut corners on a brake disc the results are much worse.
