I am so happy that my Wisdom tooth came out without a problem, I did have an infection in it.

I've left this comment on a few other extraction videos primarily to give people comfort. Last night I had my first ever tooth extraction. It was the upper right wisdom tooth. It grew in normally, but had a cavity that extended above the gum line. My pain tolerance is very low, but not only did it not hurt at all, but my post-op pain is very slight. So, if you have such surgery scheduled, don't be afraid. It isn't nearly as bad as you fear that it will be. You'll be surprised.

@DefiedHearoes , you have to swallow your blood. When u get your wisdom tooth out, you can get "Dry socket" very easily. Somethings that cause dry socket are gulping, swishing, spitting, sucking, smoking, oral sex.. THeres a ton of things tht u have to keep in mind. Lol. Trust me, I just got mine removed yesterday.

@Horsefreak802 No you dont HAVE to swallow your blood. I got my out a week ago, what helps is letting it fall out of your mouth as you lean over a sink, then wiping it with a paper towel. Ive recovered fine without a dry socket or any other problems. And swallowing blood can make you very nauseous, which can cause you to vomit, which can cause your gums and jaw to become even more sore.

omg.. you CAN swallow your own blood, the only reason why people say not to is because they think it's creepy and all the iron will give you an upset stomach. that was the fastest extraction i've seen so far.. i have to get mine up, but aren't they supposed to be stitched..?

@xmslovelybonesx i got mine pulled on monday by a normal dentist, and he didn't stich it up, i think it only needs to be stitched when you have big root and they need to "cut" it out, mine was very little and came out in 30 seconds or so, doesn't even hurt afterwords, only a stiff jaw from the sedation, but that's it

Don't understand all the fussle...This is the way it works in Holland..Some few injections to keep the pain away.. and within a couple of minutes your standing outside.

We're not like the american people who need a full anesthesia for this. :p

You can swallow your own blood. It's perfectly safe. My oral surgeon didn't stop me from doing so the other day. He just wanted to make sure I quickly got the gauze in so a clot could form to prevent 'dry socket'. The used the small hose up until then to suck up my drool, which would have poured out of my mouth like a fountain otherwise. Once the procedure began, that lil hose was just in the way, so it had to be removed.

Some of us have them pulled according to affordability, ie: We can only afford one at a time. I'm certain you didn't mean anything with your comment, but it's something to always keep in mind considering that dentists are expensive.
