not being offencive but how old are you mate (3801 catcher) becuase these locos cost over $600 and that 35class in the background is worth $400 if so good job mate
The whistle sounds more like an American chime than 38 chime whistle, but then again it would as the QSI sound system is American. The Eureka 60 class has a whistle that sounds more like a 38 class than a 60 class. Why couldn't they use genuine 38 class sound files, after all 3801 was in running condition from 1986 to 2008.
@3801Catcher I was down at the Liverpool exhibition today and Eureka had a stand there. Tempting to buy a 38 but I didn't as I think it's a lot of money (nearly $1000) and I had to do so much extra painting work on my Garrett. Shiny driving wheels why? should be satin black. If I could get real Garrett sounds I'd send my loco to Howes Models in Oxford UK and have a ESU decoder put in it, and get rid of that awful QSI system.
@3801Catcher I talked to Howes in the UK and they won't redo the Garratt, but DCC Concepts in Western Australia will. They will get rid of the quantum sound system and put in a ESU Loksound V4 decoder with REAL NSW Garratt sounds not American imitations.
Wrong driving wheels and markers are the only errors? Wow.

@faulcon1 Correct, the whistle is bad as, I personally think I would purchase a loc-sound chip, meaning I could program the sounds I wanted.
