Gospel music at its best. There shall NEVER be another St. James Adult Choir and certainly NEVER another Charles Nicks Jr. Renae', is simply one of a kind, she's amazing!
I look at this video and my emotions at best are mixed with sadness and gladness. I miss Rev. Nicks so much, but by God's grace Renae' is still with us, thank God for that!. Both of you - just sing! As far as choirs go, there shall NEVER be another St. James Adult Choir and I'm right about it.
'I Shall Live and Never Die'. This was the opening prelude to the Sunday nite live Broadcast for 50 years, of the late Rev. Ralph J. Boyd, Divine King. We shall never forget his spiritual insight to Life and Living. It is perfection of the Mind, Spirit and Soul that will redeem man and promote him into ETERNAL LIFE in the BODY. Rev. Boyd was an Angel of Eternal Life. Live Forever ProgressScoop
Thank you for remembering Rev. Ralph J. Boyd and the Universal broadcast. I still visit from time to time and I will tell you Universal still holds the message of Eternal Life.
St. James is still a singing church. The evil one and some of his angels tried to mess with St. James, but, Jesus The Christ stepped in. St. James is still carrying on.
I am so pleased to hear that St. James is carrying on. My fondest memories of Detroit and my childhood there revolves around the many beautiful Churches and Choirs, Russell Street Baptist Church, Corinthian Baptist Church, St James Baptist Church, Greater New Mt Moriah Baptist Church etc...
I do not know where to start--First of all, I am looking everyday for new posts from you--you have spoiled so many of us. I WAS going through some difficulties until I ran across this video which reminded me that God has brought me through every other obstacle and that He will definitely bring me through present and future obstacles. These videos of the hymns of the church are such a blessing because you can feel the sincerity and conviction of those singing. GOD BLESS YOU.
I am pretty sure those nurses were working to make sure some folk didn't hurt themselve because when the holy ghost gets a hold of you, you are in another state of mind.
Oh my God, I truly thank the LORD for brining me a mighty long way. Did you anyone notice the church was jammed with people sitting on the stairs and standing around the wall. This was nothing, it was like this every Sunday morning and many nites.
jholyghosthead - This is not the St. James Choir, it the Majestic Choir. St. Choir would have been running over out the choir stand.
You know you busy Marcell77.....Is the church in the same location today? And someone told me the name was changed also...? I might be visiting Detriot this summer and would love to visit the church......Just let me know thanks!!!!! These videos are a blessing!
All I can and will say is thank God for St. James and also Brotha Marcell77. These video posting remind me so much of my former church, Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Chicago, Illinois. Evangelist Renee Thomas is such an inspiration to me. Marcell I always look forward to any and everything you post by this great woman and St. James. Thanks a million.
This bring back so many memories. Sunday nights trying to find a church. You can always go over to St.james for services. WOW
