George may have been underrated by people and overshadowed by his bandmates but that certainly happened unintentionally. What could John and Paul do after all, express less talent so George could come out more? Then they'd go against their ego as artists. I strongly believe that George was very talented but unfortunately (in this case) for him, his bandmates were as well and moreover they had the character to express themselves more than him. But they were all one in the end& THE GREATEST EVER<3
this song mostly its about john lennon also the other 2 members of the beatles how sweet life was and still is but the last vers i think is about john how he miss him and may in not far future both will meet (microscopes that magnified the tears) yes true we all cry our eyes the lost of john .. almost same tune of the song (all those years ago )

@Rawego nothing scary about it there was girls fame and pot like back then what george is sayin'at the end of the song like( microscope magnified the tears> if there was a chance for the fab four to be the chance has gone it about the lost of john an> life still go's on an on so fab long time ago wen was fab but its all over know baby blue< . true we all cry'd at the time we of john's death
This sounds like George Harrison at least of the four could have effortlessly done more real Beatles sounding music, like txiere says, at the flip of a switch! ..
This sounds like it could have come straight off the White Album!
@jfuya2000 Its hard to get all the credit when you are surrounded by Lennon and McCartney. Lennon, easily one of the most original musical talents ever and McCartney can write a pop song as good as anyone, not to mention his innovativeness with songs such as Eleanor Rigby
This song could have been the frontline cover song for the Beetles, awesome.

George Harrison had a gift for creating strong melodies and this gem is no exception to the rule!

a truly scary song. there something Roman Polanski scary about it, no? especially when he sings "the microscopes that magnified the tears..." bit.

George is on a plane unto himself, even as a Beatle. No one else would have ever come up with the stuff George did.
