Jeter is not overrated. He's one of the smartest baseball players in the league. He's a smart base runner. If there's anybody who's overrated, it's David Ortiz. He couldn't hit a home run until like June.

Red sox fan right? Its not exactly home runs that make you good. You wouldnt know that, but anyway...he is a clutch hitter because he hits the right hits when you need him too. He is also a great defensive player, and if you hadnt noticed, defense is the most important part of the game. Home Runs aren't everything, maybe that doesnt apply in boston.

WeDaFunnyOnes: I agree. Jeter is the most clutch hitter in the game. He does anything to win, even if it means breaking his face. The Red Sox relies too much on doubles. Maybe that's why they had a losing record on the road in 2009. They're terrible at small ball.

1st, ARod made the comments about Jeter in '01 in Esquire mag which strained the relationship. But their "drift" is natural. Their careers took different paths, ARod got married and has a family now. So they're not going to be as close as they were when they were younger.
