Y'know what's sad? I found a copy of this game in a store going for like $6 or $7 new... Awesome price for a solid wii game (way better than the price a lot of the other trash gets put on the system with.), but kind of a slap in the face to it as well.

I used the Thunderclap+ on Ceadeus because although the Guan Dao is stronger, electric damage does more on it. I also just hate using Switch-axes and Lances.

@BunnyTheSwordsman Guan Dao sucks. It's an online weapon that can barely rival some offline LSs. Don't use it. Not even the upgraded version... if you really want a dragon LS badly wait until you can get the Alatreon one. (Dark Claw/Dark Demise)

Lance. If you can, get the Undertaker, the rust lance... Agnaktor armor is the perfect lancing set.

If you're really intent on the Los set, I think hammers have higher DoT than S Axes...

My battle with ceadeus was so epic. First of all, I had wyvern blade fire and I was doing the last move with the spirit guage, the spin move, with 2 seconds left as ceadeus did the spinning swipe move on me. I hit him as he hit me and I fainted the 3rd time right when it said elder dragon left wounded. I looked on the quest info and it said 3/3 defeats. The most epic battle to have ever hit earth (or the continent of minegarde in this case.)

@Calaxus I love getting epic kills like that.One of my personal favorites is when i was hunting the Rathalos in moga woods.he had flown off to area 8 to rest.I was using a great sword.I came up to it while it was asleep,and dropped a full charge attack straight on his head.But something i loved more than that,earlier in the battle cha-cha blew his tail off.I was laughing so hard.He deserved a well done steak for it.

I was fighting the diablos and I had gotten it limping pretty badly, so i chased it down, but it was lying in ambush. as soon as I entered, it flew out of the ground and sent me flying, whereupon chacha, out of rage mode, attacked it and it died. @Deathjak5 It doesn't heal if you repel it. I can't kill it in one go either; it's damned near impossible to kill him in one go with the weapons available offline. You gotta repel him the first time, then go back to finish him off. To answer your question, I would recommend Lagiacrus armor, or if you can't get that, Gobul. Use the Breath Core Hammer.

Get the Lagiacrus armor. It lets you swim faster, improves sharpness one level and increases elemental damage. It's a must have. Gobul armor is good too because of the high resistance to water and the speed eating.

Also, it seems your problem is using different pieces of different sets. Use a single set at a time or it won't grant you any of the skills, which is the whole point of the different armors.

It's pretty easy if you use a LS like Heaven's Thunder against it.

I killed it in 1 go with Lagia Armor maxed to lv12 and with Heaven's Thunder Y. I also used the dragonator, UW Ballista and a couple of bombs. :I

@Deathjak5 Make sure you have Wyvern Blade 'Fire'. I had Lagiacrus armour fully upgraded and an Uragaan Helm, at Lv3. Use the Wyvern Blade 'Fire' and attack his beard, make sure that Cha-Cha has the Ancient Mask on, When the Beard is servered, Ceadeus (Navel Deus) will hurry to area 3. Get as much Ballista Ammo as you can, and don't heal in Area 3, just let him keep killing you, eventually you will kill him, getting 6 carves.

@shadowlarkmoon Tell me about it. Well they replaced the Ceadeus with the Black Glithering Dragon. Either way the closest thing to the Ceadeus fight is the Jhen Morhan. That guy is really fun to beat. No joke. At first I thought he was gonna be hard until I knew we where on a boat. My face changed from this :( to this :D. The one line in the entire game I love is "THE DRAGONATOR IS READY FOR USE!!"
