America can easily adjust trade balance with China if they can sell more high tech gadgets to China. China also needs their surplus nukes for powering the mainland's ever increasing nuclear plants. China is slow in building aircraft career as there may be cheaper surplus stuff available in the global market, like UK. It wont rush to become a military threat in order not to give USA a chance to revive their military industries now destined to shrink following their retreat from middle east.

@nubcakehero No... Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese are East Asians. Laotians, Vietnamese, Filipino etc are SouthEAST Asians. India and Pakistan are South Asian. Russia is Eurasian. And yes, Israeli and Arabs are middle easterners.

@SlimAyDee Filipinos can be Southeast Asians or Pacific Islanders. I have met both Filipinos that say they're one and not the other, and some say they're both. Geographically they're Southeast Asian. Culturally they speak Tagalog which is Austronesian, that puts them closer to the Pacific Islanders category. Taiwan's aborigines is also Austronesian. Taiwan is like the borderline between Southeast and East Asia.

Did Taiwan already forget that America also bashed them that everything "Made in Taiwan" was crap too? Also, a lot of the "Made in China" crap is made by Taiwanese companies that moved to China for the slave wages.

Well, since NMA is a Taiwanese media station, and Taiwan HATES China (I should know, I'm Taiwanese), I'm not surprised they put this out. I'm glad they pointed out the mutual manipulation of each other by America and China, though. And it points out the errors in both capitalism and communism: to make the most profit, American capitalists ship jobs overseas to avoid having to pay more expensive domestic wages, while communist China exploits its workers to help the American capitalists.

@595o that's what you westerners think, but as a real Taiwanese I can tell you that the real situation is completely different. the DPP supports total taiwanese independence and is completely against anything that is slightly related to China; for example they objected to the ECFA treaty which would remove taxes from Chinese goods in Taiwan, even though it was obviously a good idea. DPP are almost all from southern taiwan, poor and with no education. IE Rednecks.
