It seems Dragon Ball have always been a unique anime, but as it tries to "regenerate" it seems to become more like any other anime with short story and anime style opening and ending

The American Dub has emotion and the voices of the males are more masculine and natural. Goku's American voice matches him very well but the Japanese voice a little less... I have nothing against the Japanese Dub, but stop hating on the American Dub, it is actually really good!!!

The american voices are watered down and lame. There is no emotional content. It's all very hollow. The japanese destroy us in voice over work, utterly destroy us. High pitch goku is because he is innocent and soft spoken. And he's less retarded in in his japanese lines. Where as american Goku is just .. fuckin' dumb. Jap Goku is a country boy with improper grammar, and no formal education, but he's not stupid. just naive and innocent.

@JayJayX360 thats true in a sense but i still appreciate the original japanese goku a bit more. The only time i think english version truly did goku justice was in he movies, like when goku picked up that dead bird on cooler's revenge and said "you did nothing wrong." then revived it, and having that rock music going. nostalgic.
