SLAP lesions normally occur with a fall on an outstretched arm, or a pulling of the biceps when under load such as catching a box from above head height to chest height. They are very uncommon and O'brien's can give a false negative in instances where there is a concurrent impingement syndrome. Please don't diagnose yourselves guys. See a physio.
2 critiques: shoulder need a 20 degrees of adduction and it should also be repeated in external rotation i.e "thumbs up" position when alledgedly the pain/clicking disappears.
Lots of scapular work and stretching, then rotator cuff and bicep work. A good physio would help.
I ended up having surgery to remove a "hill sachs lesion" (fancy name for a chip of bone) from the humerous head which was floating around in my shoulder causing some clicking.
The bankart lesion healed on its own although took atleast 6 months. Every case is different though and they never really know until the surgeon sticks the scope in your shoulder.

I had a labral tear but never been any pain with this examination. Took about a year to rehab without surgery.
