  • The United Airlines Song? fuck off.

  • I liked the way she shifted her dress to the left at the beginning for maximum presentation and viewing pleasure. She could have been playing chopsticks with two fingers and would have sold it with those legs.

  • I can just see her performing this in the talent segment of the 1962 Miss America Pageant right after the bathing suit competition. Very beautiful and talented lady.

  • United Airlines.... right that's how I know this!

  • United Airlines song? ??????Next time the 9th of Beethoven is also known as the European Anthem, this has to stop...

  • @sebasbarten

Except that United licensed Rhapsody in Blue from the Gershwin estate way back in 1976.... :)

  • To everyone who didn't like the Dress:

What The Fuck Are You Thinking?

  • Personally, I think the dress is outstanding....sheis how old........looks hot to me.

  • @rka699

  • @jkweddingentrancesux Pkay seriously she's like a senior citizen!!

  • @oclictis

    LOL.

    the answer is NO.

    She is one smoking honey!

she can tickle my keys any time

i have an organ she can play :)

  • EXCUSE ME????? ALSO KNOW AS THE UNITED AIRLINES SONG, DID YOU SAY?

What A TRAVESTY. Best song EVER WRITTEN.

United Airlines?? HAH they bought the airtime...please PLEASE do not degrade Gershwin to a level he had NO control over.....

THE UNITED AIRLINES SONG???? I pity THOSE who know this as the "UNITED AIRLINES SONG"

APPARENTLY these people have no knowledge or TASTE in music - no respect for you after that statement.

Yeah yeah people say all you want - YES I CAN PLAY THIS. OFFENDED.

  • @courtneybissette Is something that small offends you, then you really need a life. Grow up.

  • @bsd300d that guy made me laugh for him being such and idiot

  • The most bad ass part begins at @3:21 <3<3

  • oh helllllooooo legs!

  • It's funny, because I recently went on tour with my Wind Ensemble, and we flew United. We were all like "hey, it's Rhapsody in Blue!"

  • google Patricia Eliason starr to learn more about this amazing woman

  • I have known Patricia for many years and she is quite extraordinary. She not only has classical piano training but has also bicycled across America (at age 67) to raise money for music scholoaships. She is now 72 and an inspiration to many. She has also just had a bok published about her bike ride across America.

  • Yes camaroman101 ... they are ... even more amazing when you consider that she must have been well into her 60's when that video was made. But let's not forget that she is a pretty good pianist too.

  • nice legs . . . veeeery niiiice

  • I'd do her.

  • a non-musician? LOL

  • Cool. Just what I was looking for. A solo version where you could see the person play.

I am no critic of classical music, thankfully, so I could simply enjoy it!

  • I like your interpretation. Can I be your fan?

  • george gershwin is brian wilson's role model

  • Bravo Bravo Bravo! Excellent! I never heard this piece of music done without Orchestra before. This is musical excellence at its best.

  • uh, yeah.... that dress was not a good choice...

  • @ScienceReasonBelief between an amazing performance and breathtaking music, you can see only dress???

  • @si2si

hey, it's not my fault she chose the wrong dress! :)

    great performance, tho!

  • @ScienceReasonBelief I'd hit it!

  • @CliffX

she's 44 years older than you...

  • this was not written for solo piano, its a concerto, piano to be accompanied by an orchestra. although she plays very well, it lacks without the character and full power of an orchestra

  • @sickkat44 actually it was originally written for solo piano; ferde grofe orchestrated it for gershwin

  • uber, it is a concerto, solo piano to be accompanied by orchestra. do a bit more research and you will realize your mistake

  • She could have played chopstix.. For me this attractive woman in her sleak outfit made it impossible for me to pay attention to Gershwin .

  • sad indictment that women are never judged on their talent but their measure in beauty.

  • awesome x)

but, for me, it lacked a little of the 'gershwin swing' that he has in his music. her touch made the music seem softer....in some parts. i want to learn this song, but i need money to buy the sheet music =(

  • I'm not used to "Rhapsody in Blue" without orchestral accompaniment, and never remember having heard it in a piano solo, but Patricia's musicianship, particularly in the fortissimo passages, carried it off very well, indeed. The whole video soothed me, and put my mind in a better place.

  • THANK GOD

  • she is a hottie

  • She wore... bluuuuuueeeeee velvetttttt... Bluer than the velvetttt... was the nighttttt...

    ;- )

  • not bad for a non-musician

  • What are you talking about non-musician?

  • Awesome!

  • Awesome!!! is this 20s music or what????

  • Composed in 1924.

  • my, my.. that slit is a bit high.

  • id freak out with that many candles

  • Magnifique pièce. Cette composition de Gershwin est ma favorite. L'entendre avec un piano uniquement est une première et c'est excellent. Félicitations.

  • The slit in the skirt was driving me crazy.

Nonetheless, the gal did a superb job.

  • no sheet music. awesome.

  • This was soooo much piano bar style...so cool

  • I have no clue about this being the "Airlines Song" (WTF?) but maybe that's because I'm not from USA.

Really fine, excellent performance of a great piece,

and you're freaking hot too! :-)

  • The "Airline song" is a reference to a series of television commercials broadcast by United Airlines (something around a decade ago or so) that used this song as the commercials' background music.

  • on united airlines this plays while they instruct you how to fasten your seatbelt

  • The rights to the song are owned by United Airlines.

  • Patricia did well here on this tricky piece - I'm glad she played from the same version that I am currently learning. Patricia, you left out many of the hard bits! Every bit that I was watching to see how you tacked the technical problem you had 'cut' from the performance - a pity because I'm sure you could manage them fairly well. watch out between 1:40 and 5:00 - sometimes I think Gershwins intension wasn't fully realised. Besides this you plays sensitively and with good taste. Thank you

  • I prefer it faster. It's kind of lost it's swagger and it's sense of fun in this version.

  • United Airlines song? For some reason it depresses me that people might know it by that name. Great playing, though.

  • why does she have to swept away the dress that covering her right legs?!augh!

  • おしゃれな女性で、画面の背景も、いいムードですが、演奏は、もう少しがんばりましょう。

  • Great leg but she left out the best part - which, strangely enough, is the most difficult.

  • I rather enjoy the leg

  • i bet

  • wow...an amazing performance

  • I used to play this one when i was 12.. ur execution is exemplar!!! I just had an orgasm musically talking

  • Excellent playing and don't mind the comments about the legs - they're great too! Some of these people are just jealous.

  • Did you enjoy the GoLytely?

  • really no need for that much leg..

  • yes, remember a great times of United First Class
