Really good video it kinda brings me to tears because i use to play this game and i played it for about 2 years and stopped because of the payments now that theres money with me i am playing wow now and im getting bored of it i wish i could play this i have sooo many memories of this like Hami, Respec raids, the 2 sewer bosses i really miss it wish i had the newer versions i would def stop playing wow if i did

In CoH you could from the game start logging all commands to the graphics engine to a text file, and by dragging that onto the games icon (with a few options added) cause it to be replayed without the User Interface and even cause it to dump single frames as jpg or tga files, then you could later compose the whole together in a standard Movie Maker program.

Most people actually used Sleuth's Demo Viewer to replay dump files instead tho' I think.

It was quite cool to have a recording facility in-game and movie files that took up like no space at all (being text). (command was /demorecord or something like that)

Coming from someone who has played and loves WoW and CoH:

It's basically the same but WoW is for people who enjoy fantasy. This is for comic/sci-fi. They're both MMORPGs so it's generally the same. You fight, do quests, and just chill with people.

Great fraps work. Now that I'm back on CoH after a couple year hiatis, I need to know how you got all the menus turned off? I make fraps movies too on CoH, but the menus present a problem for me. The options menu doesn't seem to cover all of them.

On most games there are options to hide your HUD check out the settings

This was made some time ago. If you set CoH to dump it's logfile during play you could directly drag this logfile onto the game icon (or a third party runner) and it would replay the clip without any HUD. Editing the (text) logfile was a way to make movies from scratch. I don't know it the most common third party runner is still being kept up to date.

If you do another video the only thing I would advise is be careful about filming in dark places or at night. Playback on any of these sites only darkens it up further.
