Driven and owned most, Megane R26 is by far the most exciting to drive on a bumpy and demanding twisty road. The build quality isn't as bad as they make out, yes the wings are made of plastic, but the more extreme r26_r version has perspex windows and is far better for it. The R26 is a drivers car and that's what a hot hatch is all about, fun and ability.....you can keep you VAG build quality (misses has a new Audi) Renaultsport know how to make driver hot hatches.

I would take any of them, nothing beats a hot hatch.

But if it were to be my own money, I would say the GTi. The Mk5 have dropped significantly in price since their launch so they are now also the cheapest option. :D

I like all of them, especially the last 4, Golf is a best all arounder, Megane is the best for fun and tracks etc, civic is similar and Focus just has it hands down for me, i'm glad to see the VXR get voted out near instantly :) Shame about the MPS though they are good cars :)
