  • I remember finding out over the car radio on my way to Calverton National Cemetary and damn near broke out in tears. He was a true Class Act that has been irreplaceable in the American fabric ever since. From his days with the hysterical Jerry Lewis to his multi faceted reign in the 60's & 70's he was as prominent as the President. Too bad we'll never see another as great as he was.

  • The Best !!! for me he's the best bluessinger (yeah yeah i know) ever.... with every song i have to fight to hold back my tears....

  • Dean Martin was the coolest Singer, Entertainer................... ever.

  • Dean martin Jerry Lewis Loved them both if this vid doesn't bring a tear to your eye nothing will

  • R.I.P. Dean Martin

  • I wish i had

Met the man! And ask so many question. My great grandma who was born in 1921 told so much of the old times!!

  • what entertainment,what a entertainer.

  • At least Dean Martin didn't take guns on airplanes and act like a complete shit about it. Why didn't God kill Lewis instead of Martin?

  • @avalanchesuperstar Don't speak that way..

  • @ParasitiCorpse Yea, well Martin was well respected.

One time during one of Lewis's solo shows, a group of kids were holding Lewis' picture up and they were saying hi to him. He walked over to them and told them they looked like idiots and to quit bothering him. He actually went up to them and told them that.

  • @avalanchesuperstar Stella Stevens did the Nutty Professor with Lewis. When she did the Silencers with Dean Martin Jerry Lewis didn't speak to her for 20 years.

  • Dean was cool. Lewis stinks.

  • nice at the end the song is Mcarther park

  • RIP

  • how he die?

  • @missmiasmiley i think it was respiratory failure on christmas day

  • I Could listen to Dean`s songs... everyday all day.....:)

  • Martin and Lewis were a great team, and they were both great after the breakup.

  • balance, timing, unbelievable.

  • Lewis was not always that funnyman you saw on the movies & tv. He had a darkside that Dean saw & wanted nothing to do with. Lewis always had to be in control and there were words between them because Martin was the type of man who just did his job & wanted to get home to relax while Lewis was a driven workaholic perfectionist! That "I love you" from Martin was forced for a show. But never meant it from his heart!

  • @Godzie1 how do you know this? Do you know them personally? have you read the autobiography??

  • @bizzarrochic Saw a interview w/Dean's son who was talking about his parents & Lewis was mentioned. Back in the 70s there always article's about Lewis & Martin & their issues. That's how I know!

  • @Godzie1 While I would tend to agree with you on this subject, I wonder if Dean meant it. I mean he had been through a lot with his son's death...I wonder if Dean felt it was time to make amends. Plus Dean Martin did show up on Jerry's telethon years earlier. I just wonder if it was Dean's time to make amends. Maybe he did mean it. We will never really know for certain. His daughter Deana seems to think it was meant. I think Dean is thrilled after all these years he is still remembered fondly.

  • @geoandamygiustiniani

Sorry to invade your rose colored glasses,

but I really doubt that he meant it?

Life is all a show anyway.

But to each their own! :)

  • We miss you Dino, they'll never be another like you. The coolest guy that ever drew breath. George Clooney is welcome to try to be cool but he's no Dean Martin

  • Dean Frank & Sammy are together again, and the show goes on.

The world has lost more than the Rat Pack, it has lost an era, the likes we shall never ever see again in our time, or any other for that matter.

These guys did it all and gave their lives to the audiencees of the world.

Long may they be remembered and long may they live in our hearts.

God Bless you Frank Dean & Sammy.

    Clive & Pamela France

  • THE KING OF COOL!!!!!!

  • 78.....STILL too young at least 100 or 90 to die!!!

  • LONG LIVE THE RAT PACK!

    Rest Peacefully

    DEAN "Dino" MARTIN (1917-1995)

  • For whoever mention Dean's ex-wives. . . .in his last years, he and Jeannie were together a lot. From an interview I saw with her, they had dinner together every Saturday night; and she was with him when he passed away.

  • I just started watching his variety shows a few weeks ago. I was kind of expecting old, enjoyably cheesy comedy, but it's amazing how ribald and laugh-out-loud funny they are! His comedy has stood the test of time just as well as his beautiful music. What a great guy. 'Everybody's friend' is exactly right.

Vive Dino !

  • Dear JRB,I recall watching An installment of"The True Hollywood Story"..which pointed out that Mr.Martin fooled around with other women..to the point..where

his wives walked out on him and eventually. They divorced him..eventually..he was all alone.

  • Mr.Joey Bishop is wrong! Mr.Dean Martin was dishonest to his ex wives..because he messed around with other women behind their backs.Hence! He ruined his own marriages.

  • @TheStanbabe And you was there to witness this was you? What proof have you got? What source have you got this from? Really, I'm interested...

  • Dino had more talent in his little finger than Jerry Lewis had in his whole body. Jerry could make stupid faces and do stupid things. I'll bet anyone of you out there could do the same thing. I'll also bet that none of you could ever equal Dino's comedy and, for sure, his easy, easy style of singing.

Telethon's? Jerry's a schmuck, and as phony as a three dollar bill. He's a publicity seeking heat missile. He's no longer funny (if he ever was).

  • It is said, after his son Dino jr, died when his plane crashed into the mountains. That he died of a broken heart. He and his son were very close. He was never the same after he lost his son. My heart broke for him. Then broke again when he died. :o( Always laughing and smiling. Always down to earth.

  • Dean Martin was the voice of the 50s and now it ends someone needs to bring him back as what he did now the rat pack and him are dead he will be loved and lossed but never be forgotten thank you Dean hopefully someone will bring you back or maybe the blue moon will....

  • Now that's what i call a real Italian-American. Dean Martin will always be one of the best singers that ever lived.

  • I hope I can meet Dino when I'm called home. Dino Rocks!!

  • Dean was one of the last true entertainers, something we don't have much anymore

  • Missing you!

  • thats terrible to die and on christmas day :( RIP Dean Everybody loves you

  • Wow...I always loved seeing him on television as a child. Lately I have been struggling with nostalgia...don't know whether to embrace it or push it away. Just a longing for happier, simpler times when there was true talent and television was a pleasure. Sigh.

  • @whatanightmare1 I know JUST what you are talking about!

  • @whatanightmare1 you`re right on the money,i`ve the same feelings,maybe it`s becoming of age,and

aknowledge of our own mortal life[heavy]

  • They don't make people like Dean. He was great

  • Oh god this made me cry. Dino you are unbelievably missed.

  • I love the few seconds of the whole Rat Pack where everyone but Joey Bishop is singing. Cyril, Smokey, Dino, Frankie, and Joey, you're all very much missed.

  • Hard to believe the entire Rat Pack is gone. What a group of guys!

  • Dean Martin is a legend. beatlepete's right, there wont be another like Dean Martin but hopefully there'll be another great Italian American artist.

  • one word GLass

  • Dean Martin died on Christmas Day 1995 :-(

  • He and Jerry Lewis were my idols when I was a kid. If you haven't read DEAN AND ME you should if you are a fan. Thanks Dino for all you gave. Memories are made of you. You'll never be forgotten.

  • I loved him so, I used to tell my Dad that I was going to marry him, lol. He was the only crooner that had more talent than just his singing. He was one of a kind. I still smile when I listen to his music. 'Deano Is Our Bambino". Via Con Dios.

    From a forever fan.

  • Sos un sol !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for sharins this, it's great...

  • I love Dino! He has given me SO many laughs w/Jerry, the Rat Pack, and of course, The Dean Martin Roasts. I know when his son was killed in 1987, he had given up the will to live.

    Hope they have been reunited!

  • great voice.

  • Dino we loved you and we'll miss you. You left behind many happy memories. And for that we are grateful.

  • There will never be another like Dean Martin. He was the coolest!
