  • I practice ninjutsu, it's the shit

  • who would win in a fight;Hatsumi or the Okinawan killer?

  • @reymysteriocookie

No, Hatsumi-sensei is better than Takamatsu-sensei. Takamatsu saw this and is why he passed the iemoto to Hatsumi. If you only think in terms of winning fights, then you will miss the truth of this statement.

  • I love the card trick. And the powder in the sheath is awesome.

  • has anyone met this guy? if so, how's he like?

  • @NonaL707 according to my teacher : he is a strange old man with purple hair (im serious ) . But he is also very educated , ruthless during training , but otherwise is a very nice.

  • @NonaL707 my tutor has met him and so has my dad, apparantly he is very nice and brilliant to train with he also has some laughs and jokes, but serious when he has to be.

i learn ninjutsu at the Bujinkan Tengu Ryu Dojo in Ely

Do you learn the art if so where?

  • @FAUN99 no :( i want to learn but it's based on just interest... why have you learned?

  • @NonaL707 yes i learn at the ely tengu ryu dojo

  • @FAUN99 so why did you learn???? Is that in Japan?

  • @reymysteriocookie

    hatsumi's master(Takamatsu) didn't have a master...

atleast as far as ninjutsu was concerned...

this has nothing to do with ninja... that was a marketing ploy he came up with for the branch of kukishin he wanted to open... all theyoung men wanted to learn kodokan, so ninja were incorporated to increase the flavor....

takamatsu left kukishin AFTER they said he couldn't do this, and that they would NOT support his claim of kukishin ryu ninpo. they never taught him it.

  • @Arteanor Even if that's true, you gotta admit- Hatsummi looks like he knows his way in a fight eh?

  • @hellerZauberer

    absolutely.

he was an accomplished martial artist before he ever met takamatsu and i am very sure that hatsumi learned a lot more than just takamatsu's martial arts.

he is VERY skilled, he has EXCELLENT understanding of anatomy(using his to abuse yours)....

but it is definitely not ninjutsu.

  • @Arteanor What isnt ninjutsu, Hatsumi teaches ninjutsu which is called bujinkan ( teches all the 9 schools in one)

  • @FAUN99

there is no evidence to support this claim.

there IS however a lot of evidence that Takamatsu created his connection to the ninja lineages he claimed, as a way of marketing his martial arts to students.

i think hatsumi knows. i KNOW he knows.

i think he wanted to learn it because he saw its business potential.

there is no evidence to suggest that ninjutsu was or included martial arts. i use was, since all we know of this extinct art comes from manuals. bansenshukai ninpiden shoninki

  • @Arteanor why dont you look? he teaches bujinkan and it was nothing to do with business so dont think?

hatsumi he wouldnt be the 34th grandmaster of bujinkan nijutsu would he?

  • @FAUN99 nah bujinkan dont charge u 150 a month its more like 70 a month =)

  • you wanna fight? lets go bitch?! oh ok lets play 52card pick up :D

  • Great example of hoe it is i little more difficult to apply disgression to non trained opponents. Thank you again Grandmaster.

    /bow

  • I wanna learn from him so bad :D

  • i trained under an instructor that trained under Hatsumi-Sensei and i can personally vouch for him that these techniques are REAL. so for anyone who may think otherwise then they're wrong. these techniques are very real and very painful. although i sadly only had about 10 monthes training before i had to me i learned more in those 10 monthes then i did in the other 3 i learnt prior to that put together.

  • Is this the first season?

  • chatroulette guy who showed me this, I only nexted you by accident, I loved chatting with you!

  • @MasqueradeMisfortune chatroullette fail ;( FTW

  • That was awesome.

  • i bet he is till hopping rooftop to rooftop for a morning jog

  • @kingliamidas are you fcking stupid? i was replying to someone's msg

you must be american to be that stupid

  • "i practice mma, i am pretty sure i can kick his ass"

    whats stopping you?

  • man i would love to c all these old masters go in a cage match but knowing that their respectful to ppl it will never happen only a dream :(

  • @narckiller002 lol the cage match would have to be to the death because ninjutsu techniques are quick and to the point resulting in death. point system cant be used for this martial art.

  • @leogets2006 LOL your saying u wouldnt pay to c some badass ninjutsu fighting :P

  • @narckiller002 lol well in reality nah because it wouldnt be nice lol.. but yeah if they could just respawn after being killed violently then hell yeah lol..

  • @leogets2006 what if they were doing it for honor would u watch it :P

  • @narckiller002 hahahaha as long as they dont offend my family honour or id unleash my wroth on their asian asses lol ;) meet my brother, the PP2000 lol

  • @leogets2006

dont get confused here... just because hatsumi says the arts he teaches are ninjutsu doesnt mean it is true...

he also made a name for himself in the 80s as being a great teacher, which he is.. but that doesnt change that takamatsu never learned ninjutsu from toda, so he couldnt have taught it to hatsumi... it is a fabrication of the modern age...

we do however have several shinobi manuals that show that ninjutsu isn't and doesn't include, martial arts/budo/taijutsu......

  • @Arteanor Well said, The heir to the tiger was no slouch though, and he had a far more comprehensive library than we will ever have access to. So I kind of feel its a bit of speculation. And we all know what that causes.

  • @nazaxprime

"Well said, The heir to the tiger was no slouch though, "

no1 said he was... he is a great martial artist, and a fraud. just like the tiger himself.

"and he had a far more comprehensive library than we will ever have access to. "

sounds like a copout to me, a copout to an assertion at that...

"So I kind of feel its a bit of speculation. And we all know what that causes."

yes, like speculating that he is legit despite the entire lack of evidence to back any of his ninjutsu claims.

  • @Arteanor Precisely.

  • @narckiller002 That and someone would end up dead.

  • Just started training in Bujinkan Ninjutsu. Nothing like it. This art has it all and is very sneaky. I love how underground and hard to find this art is too. Hatsumi is truly the last ninja. Going to be studying this art for life.

  • @Moviebro I agree but in truth its a very fair martial art no matter how big you are you can kill someone twice your size.

  • @ninjakid6 Not even necessarily kill someone either, more about taking control of the situation and your opponent completely. But sure, if need be your opponent is in trouble if you are seasoned.

  • You misunderstand I was talking about the more lethal techniques.

  • @ninjakid6 gotcha

  • hatsumi loves to make bigger guys feel like their useless. Genius! :)

  • i do ninjutsu at plasnewyd centre and if i had 1000 pound i could have went to be trained by him i love ninjutsu it amazing how true it is about being able to use no energy if you just go throught the kamii (stances)

  • *kamae

  • wow! ang lihok sa inyo master, pareha gyd kang manhattan.....................kick ass?

  • OWENSPENCE- I would like to tell you that your right in relation to hatsumi not wanting to teach non-japenese, i have a friend called denis who trained in amatsu in japan with hatsumi one of only 3 people to have had the privalige, i feel that the argumentitive people are just looking for arguments rather the truth. Either way the guy is a legend end of story.

  • Ridiculo, Hatsumi parece o fodão, mas está aplicando a técninca num cara totalmente despreparado q não sabe porra nenhuma pra se defender.

  • i just hope ninjitsu keeps on surviving

  • Oh it will, just you watch. Since it embodies adaptation, there is no doubt in my mind that Ninjutsu will evolve. However it require people in order to do so. So what's everybody waiting for? Grab a book or two by Soke Hatsumi or Stephan Hayes and/or find a dojo!

  • start taking lessons, maybe you can be the one to pass it on to the next generation...:)

  • if you want it to survive... you better be doing something about it

  • There are books on ninjutsu by the ninja themselves.

  • Yeah, I know. I have one. It's a translation of some interviews that happened in his home, and it's rly quite interesting stuff. Particularly when he talks about Takamatsu and his time with him.

I really really really want to start training in ninjutsu soon, but I gotta wait till Im 16 because of those damn child safety laws they have in England. Bloody paranoid government,

  • @painsey As long as their are Yakuza their will always be Ninjitsu.

  • @NineTailsDemonFox As long as we have conflict, we shall persist in our struggle, Nin Po is harmony.

  • @nazaxprime As long as all black clothing stays in style, the ninja will never fade away.

  • @painsey Ninjutsu teqniques will never die out but maybe a master of ninjutsu

  • @painsey If not Hatsumi not chose a new master he is the last Ninjutsu master of Ninja & Samurai teqniques

  • gambit card style. rofl

  • TheForce870,

Yes there are dojos in the US. Look up "bujinkan dojo locator" on google or type in where you live with "bujinkan dojo" beside it. I can almost guarantee you'll find a dojo nearby. However, there is lots of form involved in this art and there's no guarantee you'll find a GOOD dojo. I recommend going to Japan for a few weeks and train with Hatsumi at least once.

  • The cards are a method of distraction and deception, to hide the defender's intention. Martial art, means art of war. How you carry out that war, is an art. So knights qualify, in their own way. Boxing is a martial art too, but againt this and other methods, that involve kicks and attacks to the lower body, a boxer who knows no other way, would have no real defense against these tactics, outside of a weapon, which can be countered as well. Martial art involves a great deal of deception

  • In that case (based on what phillyfanatic365 is expressing) I definitely want to learn this.

How long would you say that It takes for you to pin someone using your knee against their neck?

Where can you learn this? Its taught in the United States right? ( I apologize if its a stupid question).

  • Well i guess I better reply. I trained this system which is called bujinkan for 3 and a half years. You can train it in the united states but I wouldn't do it if I was you. It is a waste of time!

  • You obviously had a crap teacher...

  • I had more than one teacher. In fact, I had four and I have learned much from all of them. But truth be told, your opinion of my training, is of so very little value, as to be worthless.

  • @owenspence Put me down for 20yrs so far. Truth be told you are right, "our" opinions of your training is next to worthless. You have lived the way for 3 years (4.5 if you have stayed active up to the writing of this.), we have no way of knowing what your training consist(s)ed of, aside from you training with 4 instructors of unknown credability, capability and honestly, That said, why would you bring it up?

Stick with it and I wish you GL. If not, then I suppose you deserve to fail.

    /shrug

  • Bravo, you exhibit dedication. But I do not feel the need to verify the credibility of my teachers. I was simply making a point, that I have had extensive and proper training. Having said that, I note that, despite your 20 years, of training, which cannot ve verified either, you did not mention any names that were credible. Allow me to save you the time and say this. Your opinion is unimportant and will not change my path, so you would do well, not to continue this with me. Enough said.

  • @owenspence I dont think you need to verify anything aside from the words you seek to send me, which I feel you have done. Thats why i didnt say anything further, there is no challange here, most likely because I have no interest in directing your path. Bravo to you too, you made it this far (I hope, here i go assuming again.).

I assure you, my opinion is rather important to me.

    Continue?

Meh, Ill take your word for it.

GL with your training, if you continue. If not, then GL whatever you do.

  • Why what happend? you trained in a art for 3 and a half years but dont like it? kind of odd

  • I train in this too and I would say it takes a few seconds, provided you are precise and you have learned the technique properly. Stephen K. Hayes teaches it and he is the first foreign student Hatsumi taught. It is only a waste of ime, if you are not prepared to devote time and effort to it

  • Hayes was not first foreign student smart guy he was one of the first americans to bring it back to the states (bujinkan) and make millions.

  • According to what I read he was indeed the first foreign student. Hatsumi did not originally want to teach foreign students , Americans in particular, the true techniques because of their view of ninjutsu, a view influenced by the media. But I think the real problem here is, why does it matter? The art has international, even global exposure, which is what Hatsumi wanted. Someone makes a fortune off it(according to you). The purpose is still achieved.

  • For one hayes is a business man not a ninjutsu artist. Secondly hayes really doesn't know as much as he would like people to think. Thirdly I dont know where you read and got your resources from but hayes wasn't the first foreign student, you could find that out in the history and traadition book. Anyway Hatsumi believed that it was time to reveal the truth to the public thats why he taught outside of japan.

  • I read the traditional books. Pay close attention to this excerpt I pulled from an internet interview on Hatsumi. It reads as folllows, grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi to his senior student and first American disciple, Stephen K. Hayes. This means the first senior student outside of Tanemura san, who was the first Japanese student of Hatsumi. I am aware of his intentions for teaching.

  • You're clearly wrong on this. Hayes was the first student to formally bring Ninjutsu to the united states but he was NOT the first foreign student of Hatsumi. THat was Doron Navon and he is an Israeli.

  • So the question is, whether you are right or I am, what difference does it make? Does it change the taste of your breakfast in the morning? Will either of us lose anything by being right or wrong? The answer is no, at least for me.

  • thank you

  • Then it is not me, who is wrong, but the writers of the article, but in view of the realities and difficutlties of life, how important is this little piece of information?

  • You just stated what you read and that doesn't state that hayes was the first non japanese student so your still wrong!

  • This makes absolutely no sense and I have lost nothing by being wrong. Do not waste my time or yours. Life goes on, whether we are wrong or not and I will gain or lose nothing by proving who the first non-Japanese student of Hatsumi was. There is nothing more to be said.

  • I agree

  • But: you can gain information, and you can correct your mistakes. If I state something wrong, I want to be corrected. I didn't even know as much as you, and I still don't. Sorry for the trouble.

  • I am always trying to gain information and I always endeavour to correct my mistakes, which are many. I am not your teacher and it is not my place to correct you but if you have information you wish to know and I have the answer, I will answer as best as I can. No trouble.

  • @owenspence If you truely wanted to know, I imagine it would probably be easiest to ASK Soke Hatsumi? Perhaps Mr. Hayes or Doron could enlighten you . . .

I would like to add that you do stand to gain SOMETHING. Knowledge. So I guess there is something to be said, which is why you guys started communicating, right?

Whether you find It a waste of your time is all on you, but considering its a year later and for you 2, still unresolved . . .

It could be worth an E-mail If you have patience.

  • Heard of Doron navon? An Israeli that was a student before Hayes.

  • Hayes was the senior student of Hatsumi. Which, as far as I understand, means that he exceeded the position of Tanemura san and went on to be a high ranking student.

  • @owenspence

You must have things mixed up a little...Hayes was only shodan when he brought ninpo to the States. At the time, Tanemura had received 6(I beleive...) Menkyo Kaiden out of the 9 schools that forms the Bujinkan today.Even Doron had gone through the saki test way before Hayes was in the picture.

  • I sincerely hope you did not write this to argue, because I will not continue responding if that is the case. I do not have all the information I require and if I have made an error, I can accept that, but I am by no means mixed up.

  • I have been a ninjitsu practitioner for over 3 years and in my experience, it is the most devastating art that I have encountered. It is a battlefield art that is not intended to score points or have your opponent "tap out", rather end your opponent quickly with minimal effort. Dr Hatsumi is an extremely talented individual.

  • What's a good fighting method to learn that requires disarming someone, as well as overpowering punches and kicks?

  • I learn that in bujinkan, you could give it a try , it depends how much you have potential. o and by the way he didt throw the cards to get him mad hahaha he throwed him the cards when chris was attacking sensei, imagine the rush of the cards in yours eyes and then he takes you down, thats the whole idea

  • @TheForce870 Saimenjutsu.

  • Hes not the last ninja. There are many in the world, hes just the leader of the whole bujinkan ninjutsu in the world

  • Actualy nijans have never existed

    Google for Kostas Dervenis

  • WOW! thats all I can say :)

  • Next time I am attacked by someone with a sword and a deck of playing cards, I will be sure to call him.

  • lol.

  • Dude, I refuse to believe that you know infinitely more about ninjisu fighting techniques and human psychology than a martial arts expert and a REAL LIFE NINJA!

The only person who's a "fuckin idiot" is you... I can't take lessons in martial art combat from someone called "Snowpuff69"

Lessons in ass-buggery, yes. Martial arts, no

  • Good old youtube comments, oh how they attract keyboard warriors who love to complain. The 2 guys below me have sense, listen to it and learn something. The smile on Hatsumi's face is classic. Its like he is thinking, " Ya I know its good, glad you agree."

  • Enough to write stupid comment discussing under Hatsumi sensei`s Vid!

  • Hi, thanks for the vid, ive been doing ninjutsu now for about 4 years in britain! and i must say chris crudelli seems a really nice guy!!

  • Nothing in common. Hatsumi is serious master!

  • well, just compare:

naruto kind of walks around in a flashy orange suit...... ninjas are supposed to be discreet, right?

  • for a kung fu master shuoldnt he know to avoid the cards.and he loses his temper? wth? for an experenced martial artist shouldnt he be able to keep his peace.

  • HAHAHA...all jealous white people??? coz they dnt have any original martial arts???talk a lot shit...how sad...

  • rofl... and they said they made the first martial arts...pankration. But, pankration is dead...they only have a modern recreation of it.

  • Why be jealous? We're all human, two arms two legs.. white people can do it, black people can do it. You know Ireland has it's own system of stick and knife fighting? You know every country has their own system of martial arts? Stop being ignorant

  • I agree with you :)

I'm irish but i practice bujinkan, and its brilliant

you're right btw, peopel are too ignorant

  • well that is because white people had guns and cannons and u know stuff like that..Also, Knights, who would train and junk. White people were to busy stealing other people land to worry about developing a real fighting system lol..jk but seriously

  • Thats ignorant, hatsumi even said that medevial nights are "western martial arts". There is something to be found in everything.

  • i can do that, just dont want to

  • EXACTLY!@!@!@!@@@!!!@!!

  • Kawsky just go just off a bridge,Hatsumi-sensei rapes you in every direction possible.

  • HAhAHAhAhAAhAhAhahaha so true !

  • on his own face? thats clever

  • lmao

  • REAL martial arts.

  • imagine that old guy in his prime woulda been pwnt even faster XD!

  • This has got to be my favourite in the series, love Ninjitsu and it's different interesting techniques!

  • WOW! thats all I can say :)

  • This series is BAD-ASS!!

  • What the hell I read he died in like 1998. Freaking ninjas are creeping into my reading materials now.

  • Died 1998......I guess we filmed a ghost...wohahaahaha
