Hojo is literally a monster. He injected Jenova cells into Lucrecia which then infected Sephiroth, which later in life caused him to go insane. He damned his own son before he was even born!

As far as storyline purposes goes, Hojo being the final boss of Disc 2 seems appropriate, and of course Sephiroth being the endgame final boss of Disc 3 also seems appropriate. Gotta defeat both father and son to save the world. Nice plot twist Square lol

There was a save point down at the bottom of the stairs where Hojo was. I believe if you didn't bring Barret, you can switch him in there, and then get the Missing Score. You can likewise swap him out if you don't want him for Hojo.

before the ordeal in the life stream hwen you are in control of tifa would be the best part, go to the chocobo ranch and buy a mimett green and then go to one of the shops in mideel and talk to the little white chocobo and give it the green then tickle it behind the ears the it will give you the contain materia then simply level it up :D hope it helped you :D watch more of HCBaily's videos to find out more :P

@tgva8889 That's a nice little trick to use in the battle square at the Gold Saucer. Send Cloud in there and use Omnislash, and be sure that the command materia doesn't get broken, then you can just use a non-stop loop of The ultimate Limit Break in the game.

I remember when I fought Lifeform Hojo the first time I had Cloud equipped with a mastered Counter Attack materia and everytime Hojo hit Cloud with his combo attack Cloud would match him blow for blow it was awesome.

Yeah, if I remember right, Proud Clod eventually bends over and gets in range of physical attacks..not that HC needed any. That Hojo fight can be a real pain, as I remember; definitely one of the harder fights on Disc 2.

The AC version of J-E-N-O-V-A was really cool, though I also really like the two remixes that are on the ocremix FF7 project "Voices of the Lifestream", especially bLiNd's take on the theme, "JENOVA Celestial".

Scarlet and Heidegger bite the dust..and no one will miss them.

BTW, I pretty sure the reason why he didn't drop to his knees is because the Jamar Armor was dead and I think that piece is crucial to the attack.

Not sure, just remember reading that from a guide once. In all the times I've played the game, I just went for the kill, ignoring the Jamar, and he always went down to his knees for said attack. So that looks right for me.

Yeah I do. That was a pretty good game despite people having a fit about controls. Only problem I ever have with most games is camera controls. Try playing Devil May Cry 3 with the camera controls and then we'll talk people...

Wow, I just realized that the stairs leading to the Sister Ray start from that one street you walk through only once earlier when leaving Reactor No. 1!

I love that the Shinra theme plays in the battle with the Proud Clod. In essence, that fight signifies the final battle against Shinra, since Scarlet and Heidegger are the last Shinra execs, the Proud Clod is their final weapon, and they're all out of plans at that point.
