  • how did you prepare the ham hoCks?

  • I also use the adobo seasoning from time to time, when I want to use something different from my usual cajun seasoning. I like your show opening animation too. That's really cool.

  • @BICI1903 Thank you so much. I love adobo.

  • I cooked the greens the same way for the past two years and may co-works can not get enough.

They want me to cook greens again for our Thanksgiving Potluck, I was trying to give someone else a chance to cook greens. But my co-workers don't want any one else to cook them, thank you for making this video.

  • @reubenbridges Thank you and this is a basic recipe too that is awesome.

  • Hubbie is one lucky guy! Beautiful woman AND she cooks great food!

  • @surfer53 EX- NOW :-( my career took off and so did his insecurities. That is why there has not been any new uploads. trying to redo everything myself now.

  • I know I've heard your accent before. It's the same as one of the high-school students in the class Brian teaches during an episode of Family Guy.

  • @DrNo2A41 LOL I love family Guy i didnt know I had an accent.

  • Nice video! Thank you for sharing! Cute animation intro!

  • THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.

  • Love collard greens! Thanks for the recipe! Nicely done!

  • you can also use smoked turkey necks, wings, or legs

  • That's a good recipe. Pretty much the way I was taught to cook collards except I take out more of the stem but that's preference. Good video.

  • I kept searching, until I found someone who cooks them like me. Good Eats!!

  • girl, you ain't white.

  • @blackberryjuice1 I did not say what my ethnicity is. And this recipe would not give you a reason to assume I am or trying to be. I think you are just an undereducated jealous person because all you can do is watch the video I star in LOL

  • Funny you only post comments that compliment you. My collard green comments were never allowed, even though they contained just my own method and really weren't criticizing yours. Except for not washing it before you mess with it, of course. That is kinda nasty.

    Oh well.

  • @kali17 Funny you sitting there watching them. I don't have time to sit and reply or read every comment. which is why its 2 years later and I am just able to read them. My views are over 60,000 and the comments are almost half that. So get a life.

  • You did a great job. Keep it up. God Bless you.

  • oooh child, eating raw onions, I hope he's still kissing you! lol

  • @hanako NOPE he runs away when I eat em

  • This is a very different way of cooking them from what I learned. I cut them really fine, 1/2 as thick as you did, and stir fry in a little bit of olive oil and fresh squeezed garlic, until they are no longer al-dente, but don't overcook or it gets soggy. In just a couple of minutes it's done, delicious, and dry. No water touches my collards. 1 hr cooking in water removes all nutrients and taste from such delicate greens.

  • @kali17 WOW that sounds YUMMY. too bad you got an attitude bc I didnt post your recipe when you wanted me too. I am JUST able to get to them now 2 yrs later....

  • You should wash collard greens before cutting, really. Both sides of the leaves carefully, rubbing with fingers, under water, looking at them closely because the leaves tend to have spider mites, spider webs, small bugs, etc. Unless it was sprayed with pesticides, which will end up on your plate.

  • @kali17 The greens were washed and soaked in salted water in the sink i can not put everything in the video and some how the clip was edited out. That is from amateur editor that worked on the show.

  • This is how God cooks! MMMM - Collards!

  • Very nice you have the Name of your show and the T.V. personality! Please send your video to food T.V. and maybe they will finally consider giving a black person airtime!!!! Also boil those Ham Hocks for about 2 hours first or until tender to enable you to really suck the bone!

  • @classyree04 Thank you. Ihave tried to send auditions in not sure if my being ethnic has anything to do with not being chosen. I was a culinary student at the time. I think I was 22 years old in this video not enough experience.

  • Hi there, I love your recipes. I was wondering if you could show me how to make an american pumpkin pie. Thanks

  • @Cutchswife I promise to do one soon as I formulate a team.

  • This should be a tv program lol. Great recipe. Can you use spinich for this?

  • @Cutchswife NO spinach will wilt soooo fast.

  • I absolutely love this video! Great tips, great recipe, and I'm certain that when I try it at home, it's going to have great taste!

  • ohh wee thank u 4 teaching me
