0:58 He realizes he wants the same thing many (if not most) philosophers want? He just summarized the popular philosophical branch of epistemology in the next few sentences. Just a heads up to anyone who thought that he was about to use an avenue different (or contrary) to most philosophers' by establishing the limitations of knowledge, and finding the knowledge that can be found. He's not. He wants the same thing many philosophers want.
Once read that you could further reduce the certainty of CES to "There is a thought" ie there's a thought somewhere (usually in a jar but in this case it could be floating on the ether) creating the **illusion** of an "I". Or maybe it was an episode of Star Trek.

@GraeHall Use your brain man. Obviously people have to start somewhere. If you've already covered what this guy is talking about then move on, there's nothing for you here.
Not to mention the relative nature of reality. I mean fuck man, not one thing you said was worthwhile, intelligent, or even thought-out at all in the first place. It honestly seems like you're trying to show off how advanced your knowledge in philosophy is. Or how advanced you perceive it to be. Which is just lame, so lame.
I'm tired of the closed-mindedness and ignorance of some of these self-appointed "geniuses" considering the majority of people to be ignorant flocks of single-minded sheep."Most people are like the people chained facing the wall of the cave, watching flickering representations on the wall, while taking the shadows as the real thing." I'm not saying this isn't entirely true, but we as the human race have so much potential, so much power, that a majority decide to do things in a way to get by.
@ashbash986 You don't see the point of such questions,I don't see the point of living if these questions aren't asked. So I think asking whether philosophy like this has a "point" is pointless, since anything anybody believes has a point might not have a point from some other subjective perspective.
Anyway, the point is:To know wtfs going on in the cosmos. How,why,is it here;why I am here etc.You can live a superficial life-taking what you get and living on as best you can-or be a scientist
got to love philosophy. "Are our senses never reliable?" Never reliable...
What do you think

Alfred North Whitehead and Bertrand Russell used 378 pages to somewhat prove that "1+1=2" is unprovable in the book, "Principia Mathematica".

Jesus, brain in a vat?
Come on, that's amateur grade sillyness, in terms of Philosophy. Hermunculous?
Philosophy has so much more important views to offer than this sophomoric stuff,.

@GraeHall It's not actually a real brain. It's a stage prop with lights on the inside. I like rainbows.
