I don't believe in religion of today, religions of the past, religions of the future (if there are any), or any man-made religion for that matter. But I do believe in the possibility of a higher power of some sort that is behind everything in that exists. It just seems too complex.

Bullshit, don't thank 'god', but rather the highly skilled doctors, surgeons and nurses who made not only his recovery, but his continued life possible. Sure, I have nothing wrong with faith, I think a belief is a good thing for people to have, even if i don't, but don't get ahead of yourself buddy, you're not special, you're just lucky that you weren't fatally injured and that you are privileged enough to have access to such quality medical care.

Its not a coincidence - those surgeons weren't the only people capable of saving him, i'm sure most of if not all of the other surgeons at that hospital could have saved him. If god cared so much about our lives, then why did the 'almighty', allow him to come into harm in the first place? You are so stupid, him begging for life didn't save him!

The hallucinations of a dying man = proof of the Christian God. The "white light" being overtaken by "blackness" sounds a lot like death. Is it at all plausible that, as the man was dying, the blackness was merely death overtaking him? He seems to have filled in the blanks of his experience with what he already knew. He is rationalizing, not reasoning. I'd hate to see someone accept any belief system on the basis of this sort of testimony.
