Thank you so much for this video! I have been wanting a second wheel so my daughter doesn't have to hijack mine all the time! We both love spinning art yarns and my Louet does an OK job with the jumbo flyer but you are limited to 50-70-ish yard hanks and I would love to have a HUGE bobbin to pack yardage on. I am leaning towards the Babe too for budget reasons and also when I am demo'ing...I don't have to worry so much about it getting hurt by people that are clueless how much wheels cost!
(con't) and felt that I should have been told about them too. Especially if you're suppose to be educating me. What I LOVED about this video is that after watching it I understand why she didn't mention it . After listening I'm not saying I won't get a Babe (I saw you using the Pinkie) however I can see I really have something to think about , I MIGHT need to wait for something else. Thank-YOU Ashley many of us are trying to learn and YOU'RE really a BIG HELP. I love your channel, LOOOVE IT!
I'm with YarnMarm I felt you definately were presenting information as fairly as you could, that 's all I want to hear things said with the ring of truth. Someone recently was advising me one wheels but she never mentioned the Babes . All that was talked about were wheels that started at $600. then over $1000.. When I asked about the prices I was given an attitude, like I should know why these wheels are so expensive. I left feeling lied too, I know about Babe wheels
Babe wheels are so much fun to decorate! I have one I painted, love it! Check out the Babe wheels Ravelry page, there are some awesome painted ones on there. Oh and I must say I'm addicted to your videos haha
Hi, Ashley! May I mention the Louet brand? It specializes in wide orifices. After I bought the wide flyer that comes with a fat bobbin, I was able to make art yarns with it. That came up to $100 extra. - - Thanks for these videos. Good job!
after covering the bottom with yarn you ought to put clear resin over the bottom that way you can wipe the dirt off the bottom.. just an idea

the lendrum always looks like its going to fall on top of the spinner at any moment.

PS - did you try the SpinOlution Hopper Art Yarn Travel Wheel?
I currently have Louet s-10 with wooly winder and also the bulky flyer ( yarn gets stuck in orfice and in hooks) and an Ashford Traveler...
Money is of course an object but when spinning production time is also money and fighting with the spinning wheel is not cost effective.
Thanks for you great video!

One more comment:
It's awesome how you present both pros and cons of these wheels. You say it like it is, and you have the experience to say it.
