  • i'm going to buy a used pair of Supreme ONE35. if they've been baked can i re0bake them to my foot or does that weaken the materials even more?

  • @seanoco7 I wouldn't recommend baking them. It will break the skate down even more.

  • hey icehockeywarehouse. I just bought a pair of bauer vapor x5.0 from your site and they fit nice and snugly. I tried these skates on for the first and skated with them. They were nice but towards the end of my skating the inside of my left foot started to form a blister. I'm thinkin of bakin them. Will it help with the blister? Also should i take off the insoles when they bake? The skates also came with baking instructions. Should I follow the instructions or your instructions in this video?

  • I am pretty new to skating.

Is it worth baking Suprem One20

Also, do they need sharpening if they are brand new ?

  • @armido110 I don't know about the first question but I work at an Ice skating rink, so in my opinion the factory sharpen really isn't good enough and sometimes doesn't give you the radius that the sharpener would be set to, therefore making you practice on something you're not use to. So yes, I think you should sharpen them.

  • @FunguyProductuins thanks for information

  • @armido110 yeah you should still get them sharpened

  • @brewski2007 I wouldn't bother. They will mold enough after a couple uses.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • Can i bake my Bauer Supreme One60 Skates?

  • @Xixzzable Yes you can.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • @Xixzzable yeah you can

  • what about the blade of the skate, do you a guard?

  • a couple questions:

first, my friend gave me his old x60 skates that were obviously molded to his feet, can they be re-baked to fit my feet? or will that ruin it?

also, if you turn the oven on convect at 175, will that be the same as turning the oven off? because that would heat them evenly with no hot spots

  • Am I able to bake the Reebok 2k Goalie skate. My feet have different arches and i kinda need my footbeds molded.

  • @Khabibulin3935 It's possible but baking them won't make much difference since it's such a low level skate

  • i keep getting blisters inside of my left foot if i bake my skates and push out on the toe cap a litle bit so my toe can fit comfortably in will it solve that problem

  • @SuperJSL123 It might help a little bit, but the toe cap really won't move a whole lot.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • Thanks for the instructions. Thoughts on baking a second or third time?

  • @mfhiggins9 I would recommend against it. Heating skate multiple times will cause the materials to break down a lot faster.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • Something to note is my skates come with instructions that say 145 degrees so make sure to know your individual skate

  • I have a rollerblade spitfire TW

  • Thanks, and also do you guys have a vid for inline skate molding?

  • @raptordownloads No, we don't, but if you called into our customer service department, one of our reps could explain the process.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • Was that the vapor x20? thats what I just bought can I bake them? oh and i went out on the ice and was like sliding around.. I'd be going straight and my skate would kinda turn a little and didnt feel like I could grip the ice at all and didnt feel like I could stop. Do skates come sharpened or should I get them sharpened nd try it out again? It is possible that im just a horrible hockey player. haha

  • @FuckitnFightit I believe that's the X50 in the video, but I don't know for sure. Skate don't come sharpened, so get them sharpened and you should be fine.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse Thanks a lot man, I was hopeing thats what it was.. sorta looked like a fool in the drop in game I played earlier. Anyways Bauer makes the coolest looking and they feel 100 times more comfertable then any other skates i've had.. Thanks again.

  • baking easton s9s?

  • @icehockeywarehouse thanks,

About how long would you recommend baking them for

  • Would you recommend baking one60's, and if so are ther any extra things to note about baking them

  • @sharukh3105 You can bake them, but I would bake them for a little less time because the boot isn't quite as stiff.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • i just got some farely new reeboks pump 6ks for christmas, i dont play hockey but i do like to just open skate so i was just wondering do i have to do this or is this just for the real hockey players?

  • @ColeTrain368 You can still do this. It just makes the skate fit better.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • would you recommend baking Bauer Vapor X3.0?

  • @Tegles21 I probably wouldn't. It's not really necessary at that level.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • So when I buy my ccm u+10's should I bake them, 80 degrees Celsius for 6 minutes?

  • @downtoearthwithben Yes.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse I baked my skates (Graf Ultra G70) according to your instructions. The width and length are good but my instep, under the tongue is tight, Too much pressure. Any advice?

  • @krasyn1 I'd probably say wear them a few times and see if that helps them break in a little more.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse Thanks, I'll try that. I was also thinking to maybe take out the skate inner sole or to maybe take off some padding from the tongue. What do you think?

  • @krasyn1 If they don't break in any better after a couple weeks, then you could try taking away some of the padding on the tongue. Have you also considered lace bite pads? Check them out on our site.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • Can you bake Easton synergy eq ??

  • @LKirne12 Depends on the model. The lower end models don't really need to be baked, but I would with the mid to high level skates.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • I know this is just full of can i bake this skate can i bake this skate! But Can i Bake flexlite 4.0s and what would the temperature be in celcius?

  • @Kingkarabu You can bake them but they are pretty soft already and it wouldn't do much to help the fit. You would back them at about 80 degrees celsius.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • i have some bauer vapor x3.0 and im wondering if i can bake them?

  • @mattikin2003 Yes you can i have them also

  • @mattikin2003 You can bake them but you might not see much of a difference on such a low level skate.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • @0:16 does anybody else notice the "Ice Warehouse" in the background?

  • hello im an inline skater, and wondering would this be ok on a pair of carbon fiber inline skates. google usd carbon 2s.

  • @xsjad0man I talked to our aggressive guy and he says you can bake them but only the carbon boot and nothing else. He recommended using a hair dryer or heat gun to heat it up.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse Thank you for such a quick reply.

  • Hate when ppl talk like they are asking a question...

  • can you bake inline skates?

  • will it work with reebok pump skates?

  • @icehockeywarehouse i've had my nike baur hockey skates for about a month now, should i still bake them or will they already be broken in by now

  • @powernova66 Are they comfortable and don't give you any problems?

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse there still a bit loose, but i don't know if i'll ruin them or not

  • @powernova66 Have you baked them before?

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • stupid request anyone know how long you bake the easton S17 Black LE skates? temperature and time if possible i no longer have access to the box to read the instruction.

  • @gazza1801 My box states "4 minutes @ 200 degrees fahrenheit."

  • both at the same time?

  • would the wax on wax laces melt if they went in the oven or should I put normal laces on

  • @icehockeywarehouse should i follow this instruction off baking my new skates (CCM u+ 12) or should i follow the instruction that came with it

  • @BitAnzpride Follow the directions that came with your skates. That will work best.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse can you bake skates with waxed laces?

  • @crazypoe99 Yes you can bake skates with waxed laces.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • Garnish with an orange peel.

  • i just got the bauer supreme one 20;s should i bake them

  • Is that 175 Faranheit or celcius? Also can I do this with a pair of 2007/2008 Easton Synergy 900's? I'm fairly sure it said they were heat moldable. theyre bairly skated in and I want to bake them now and get back to playing. Thanks

  • I have the APX skates right now and it is very stiff. I want to bake it but I lost the box and anything that was included in there. So I am not sure if there are any special instructions for the particular skate.

Can you help me to give the right directions for this skate?

  • i got grafs 709 supras do u think i should bake them?

  • @SouthpointGinos17 I am not too familiar with Grafs, but baking would probably be fine.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • I just got Reebok '09 9K's should i bake them like that?

  • @Wingnut1721 Yes.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • i tried this recipe, it was delicious

  • i just find out that 175=farenheit :(

I melt my skates in 4 min at 175 celsius :(

  • @TheKocha1985 Ohh

  • @TheKocha1985 that is terrible news

  • @TheKocha1985 retard........

  • @TheKocha1985 ha that really sucks its not even ha funny ha ha hahahahah

  • Comment removed

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • @TheKocha1985 BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA u melted ur skates! how much u spend?

  • Can you do this with rollerblade hockey skates. Like missions? If so, the same way described? And can I keep the wheels on?

  • @nniebish If you are using a SkateBake specific oven you can leave the wheels on, but for conventional ovens, such as the oven in the video, you need to remove the wheels.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • how about baking easton synergy eq5's

  • @Kingal0769 Follow the directions in the video.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • Yum i liek to eat some skates loool

  • Can I bake my new bauer supreme one40 the same way it's done in this video?

  • @sampsamik You can bake them but since it's a lower level boot and less stiffer, you might not need to.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse I'm a beginner so I don't relly know, but the boots seemed stiff, and it pressed hard on a few spots on my foot, wich was kind of painfull after just wearin them for about 15min. Would you suggest trying them out more on the ice before baking them?

  • @sampsamik It wouldn't hurt to bake them.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • how should i bake my reebok 7k pump skates. they seem to have a harder shell and im not sure if baking them will affect the pumps?

please like this so the person can see this please :))))

  • @deathpenguin52581346 You can bake them but since they have the pump most people dont.

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • I have a pair of Bauer Flex Lite 4.0 senior size 10,5,How long and at what temperature should I bake them for for???I got these skates from a friend to use until christmans

  • @keough1050 Those skates really don't need baking because of how soft they are out of the box, but if you do decide to bake them, just follow the guidelines in this video.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • how do i know if i can bake my skates because i just ordered some new bauers

  • @lakaiguy187 You can bake any skate but only the top of the line skates are really designed to take advantage of heat molding.

  • @12jordanmarshall12 175 Fahrenheit

    Casey at IW Hockey

  • @12jordanmarshall12 lol try it at celcius and you're going to be eating your skates.

  • if i got my skates baked 2 years ago and my foot hasnt grown but its changed shape would you recommend baking them again?

  • @Gibson2471 I wouldn't recommend baking them again as that will weaken the materials too much at this point.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • @Gibson2471 thats exactly what you wanna do bro. i work at my local pro shop so if you feel it uncomfortable around the ankle or in a way it wont break in naturally, try baking it again.

  • how long do you have to wait to skate after baking the skates

  • @RFHockey1507 at least 24 hours.

    Tyson at IW Hockey

  • how long do i bake the 11k skates? and how hot does the oven have to be? Will they damage the skate?

  • @MrSiLeNtZzHD Just follow the directions in this video unless otherwise noted on the skates packaging.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse the thing is, is that i dont have the instructions for baking my skates. Im scared i might destroy my 11ks if i dont bake them properly.

  • @MrSiLeNtZzHD I don't know of any particular guidelines for baking the 11k's, but you could try posting on our message board to see if anyone else knows.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • how long would it take to break in your skates naturally?

  • @tmlrlz A lot of factors play into that including your size, the skates, how often you skate, etc. I would guess about 20 hours of ice time would be about how long it would take.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • Do i bake inline skates the same way? it wont melt the wheels right? or should i just take them off?

  • @Cklein142 If you are using a SkateBake specific oven you can leave the wheels on, but for conventional ovens, such as the oven in the video, you need to remove the wheels.

    Erik at IW Hockey

  • awesome video :)

  • Comment removed

  • @MGSDude01 4 minutes would be good enough. Technically they're not made to be baked. They're designed to be comfortable right out of the box. Baking doesn't really damage the boot, but I always recommend breaking-in the skate naturally when possible.

    Matt at IW Hockey

  • @icehockeywarehouse hey man, I bought a new pair of bauer supreme one60. and it kills my feet now. Should I just let it break in naturally or bake em...

  • @TheFanofFPS If it's killing your feet then you should try baking, but if it hurts that bad, I don't know if that will loosen them up enough.

    Erik at IW Hockey
