Ovechkin has Gonchar squared up, Gonchar saw it and tried to get out of the way. Neither of Ovechkin's legs flinch. Gonchar tried to poke the poke around Ovechkin instead of playing the boards and lean away from the hit and they bumped knees. The two hits are nothing alike.

I guess Ovie should have took the hit instead of jumping out of the way. For once, Cooke was going to lay the shoulder into the hit, only to have Ovechkin jump out of the way. Yes, Ovechkin has a history of being dirty, but I've noticed a lot of improvement after last year's knee on knee on Gonchar (which I personally thought it was party Gonchars fault for jumping out of the way)
