I don't know of any place that's specifically called that, and the term is probably used generally as a nick-name, like you said, along with lots of others. There are quite a few streets in the SCV with street-wide multiple lightshows, and it's possible that there are specific names for specific locations, but those names would likely be very localized and not generally known to everyone. It might be worth a google search of the name and area though, just to make sure! :-)

This little tour covered a wide area of the SCV and these cool displays all from over the place. I found good concentrations of houses with lightshows in Newhall, just north of Lyons Ave around Wiley Canyon Rd. and a few spots in Valencia, but I'm sure there were many others. Grab some munchies, hop in the car and spend the evening driving around like the ice cream man - you'll find plenty!. Also watch "The Signal" (newspaper and online) for light show competitions. :-)

Thats good. I live in Santa Clarita, and we always go light vewing beofre xmas. have you seen blue ridge? Their entire neighborhood does it. Its like 2 miles of lights. Every house decorates. Amazing. Also, keep an eye on the newspaper, cause this year were gonna be in it for "best and brightest" house. lol

This was kind of a whirlwind tour - I will be doing a better tour and video this year. Looking forward to checking-out Blue Ridge and all the big neighborhood co-op shows throughout the SCV! :-)

Yeah. lol, sounds fun. Blue Ridge does very well with decorating. But over the past 2 years, theve been slacking a little. Probably cause of the economy. nobody wants a high power bill these days. But who knows, maybe this year will be different.

This is gorgeous! And what a huge relief! Carol of the Bells is my favorite Christmas tune, and there is a ubiquitous lightshow video which to me is so bombastic as to be 'Carol of the Ballistic' and here I found yours -- beautiful sight and sound!! Christmas came early in SoFlorida

It's funny how these Christmas videos seem to get more popular the further away from Christmas you get! You'd think electricity were free the way people burn-up the watts during the holidays here! Many people have cut back their displays a bit, and others only run the lights for a couple of hours each night to help conserve. Glad you enjoyed the show! :-)
