@AlphaReal its hard to make a living in china, you cant get benefits or whatnot, money is important in such places as it makes the difference between you have something to eat and a place to stay, because it is possible to starve to death in such places.. I have chinese friends, I've been to China, I know. Its a different society from the west.

Yet they still remain in open mic nights at their nearest bar venue. It sickens me to see people like this getting recognized for commercial pedestrian crap, when there's others out their who also need to survive. It just shows u that it's not what u know, it's who u know that makes u known in the music business.

Mate, you forget where Siesta is playing at. In China, nobody knows what DnB is, not even the commercial stuff like pendulum and all that. let alone all that indie or underground stuff that we all love. Siesta is trying to promote DnB in china and she has to start with the big names first - they're easier to find, easier to contact, easier to promote. She's already struggling to make a living by playing commercial stuff.. how would she pay the rent if she played some underground shit?

Indie isn't underground & she said she hit rock bottom from debt, but it didn't last long. She's got money now.

What difference does it make? Like u say, China doesn't know dnb, so give em what u got. Not what someone else made. If she has any self respect then she'll start putting her own beats into the mix or at least break down the commercial tracks into their individual instruments, take something out and replace it with something that grabs her enough so that it can grab her audience too.
