its a known fact that 1.8 16v hgts push out around 145bhp stock, to many people also "mistake" it for the 1.2 16v sporting. They also run low 15sec in the 1/4 if driven right.

Funny, cuz my moron of a best mate, (sorry gaz) has a VTS and's not once beat me. Mind you, i do have MI16 valves, a gas flowed and ported head from an MI16 and exhaust manifold from a gti-6 and had her re mapped. So if any vts wants 2 have a go? And lets be honest, even a bog standard S-16 is a more desirable car than a saxo. Better looking, better engine, better interior, better chassis, a lot rarer, and best of all, not a saxo.

Yes, saxo's are utter wank. If it's a small french hot hatch you want, you get a 205 1.9 GTI. I has a phase 2 vtr. Oh dear! Yes, the GTI-6 aint overly rapid. Due to weight. They have an extra cog and 12 bhp more than an S-16 but slower 0-60. Point!? The best 306 hot hatch was, is, and always will be the s-16. I have 2 of them. One un modded and mint, and one tweaked to 195 bhp that i use for track days and wasting children in bean cans.
