  • @nirwana07

  • keren bro,,,, mantaps...

  • this is real indonesian song .....

  • lol

  • Technically, the song belongs to both the Indonesians and Malays. If you take notice to how reminiscent their languages are, it would mean that at some point Malays and Indonesians had probably lived as one nations. Some prominent proof of this is the origin of the Malays' Silat, which came from an Indonesian island. 'Rasa Sayang' is a heritage for both Indonesians and Malays.

Sometimes I feel sad when the politicians start getting mad over these things.

  • totally wrong. Rasa sayange is from Maluku located in Indonesia. So it is totally from Indonesia.

look at my video and read the description.

  • Woah woah there, I don't think you studied my comment in careful detail. To make it simpler, Malays are probably a race originating from Indonesia which would explain the Rasa Sayang(e) claim. If you quite a pro-Islamic, as I have observed then you must clearly understand that everyone comes from Adam a.s. who is the father of humankind. It was he who spawned many races, which then developed many other races. Also, I believe the Japanese and Chinese are a fairly relative example. Look at the -

  • come on, we are talking about the origin of the song. you are talking the human race in general.

If that the case, then I can say pizza is belong to America as well, because some Americans are the same race in Itally.

hmm probably I can say Matador is from Latin America, since many Latinos are in South America.

    Is that correct...? Think that....

  • - language similarity. They are both different races and different countries, but the languages are almost identical in certain parts. Why is that so? Simple, because one had originated from the other.

Please try to be philosophical. Regarding to history doesn't make much of a use if you can't relate to how things happen in this world.

  • is that how you determine the origin of culture.

Then I can say Wayang Kulit is from Suriname, because many surinamese can speak Javanese.

come on, to determine from where the song is, we look at the origin of the song, the location, the race. Rasa Sayange comes from Molucan (Maluku people) not malay. And Maluku is located in Indonesia.

  • Okay fine, think this, people have conjectured that Rasa Sayang(e) originates from the Ambonese, isn't that right? Well aren't the Ambonese Indonesian Malay-Papuan origin? Did the Malays originate from Indonesia? I believe so. How did Rasa Sayang(e) reach to the Malay land then? Probably when Parameswara and his followers came and stood a government known as Malacca.

Think man, this isn't JUST about races from other races. Factors such as time can be included. Perhaps other countries have -

  • I think you have a good logical thinking. Ok then I want to ask you.

how do you determine the origin of the song then?

  • The song remains an origin from Indonesia, from the Maluku island. We should just assume that during some point, certain Indonesian natives with their culture, migrated to other islands and land, and expanding their influence of tradition. These people make up their own race while developing on what they've learned from others. It's hard to explain.

To put it simple, the song most probably originates from Indonesia, but to whom it belongs to is just a subject of heritage or peoples' ancestors.

  • when you says the song is originates from Indonesia, it is definettely belongs to Indonesia.

why do you say that folk song is Malaysian traditional song..? are you claimming...?

Please, you can sing it, but respect Indonesian by not claimming this song.

  • I'm saying they belong to both races as a heritage. Was that put down properly with easy comprehension?

  • Talking about race, this song was composed by Molucan, so this folk song is from Indonesia.

    In Summary,

Rasa sayange composed by Molucan tribe or race, located at Maluku, Indonesia. Sung by other races in Indonesia (jawa, sunda, batak, malay, etc) Undoubtable.

No point to claim this song belongs to both race, as it is belong to Molucan, Indonesia.

  • Nice debate, but the fact remains that the song was likely to be brought down to other races. Can you deny it?

  • But the truth always remain that the song is TOTALLY from Maluku, Indonesia.

Other race, country or people can sing this song, but it is a mistake who claim this song as theirs.

  • Is it a mistake? How peculiar that Jewish like to think the same about their religion.

  • we are talking about the song my sister, not religion.

Do you know the British traditional song titled "AULD LANG SYNE"

It is a mistake if germany claim that song is theirs, but it should be no problem if they only sing the song.

  • still don't want to admit that this song is from Indonesia...?

  • I thought I just SAID that the song was from Indonesia, with only the addition that the song itself managed to spawn many different races. Is it so hard to understand? If you have a problem with the claim, then that's fine, but what you're doing is denying the fact that the song is spread wide.

  • sorry my sister,,, my english is bad... he he.. don't use very high level of english... quite difficult to understand,

Ok... that's fine.. its over then...

    summary:

Rasa Sayange is from Maluku, Indonesia. Spread and sung by many races and countries.

    Agreed... :)

  • Even if you say we're the same races, the song is still belong to Maluku, Indonesia. Not Malayshitt!

  • It seems you are another who does not understand my means of explanation. Never mind, feel free to fathom on wonders of your song while I do something constructive, say, studying and factually knowing that I put up a good argument.

  • sabarrrrrr pak..hahaa :)) !

  • - distinctive traditions because they have been somewhere else for a very long time. What happened to the Africans that were brought to America? Until now, is there a culture similarity? Not so much.

  • no its not loll

  • look at my video rasa sayange, and read the description...

so you will know that rasa sayange is from Indonesia
