I hope my Chester who is a paw drinking does not attempt this. I just bought mine today after trying the teardrop water fountain which worked for Chester but not my other cat. And he was who it was meant for because of a recent urinary issue and he wouldn't go near it. But this one he likes.

ya know, my cats would do the same darned thing too. I have a plain dribbler fountain and I swear they both channel a saint bernard when they drink. water spews everywhere.

My cats are the same.They have a very large water container because as soon as I refill it they think it's a kitty tub and the kitchen is flooded again.My siamese boy now wants to drink from my glass only and he licks the sides of it too.He especially likes it when I freeze a bottle of water and he loves to lick it as it thaws out.I wanted to get them a fountain like this but they will just play in it like Beau.:)

I bought this exact fountain because one of my cats is obsessed with playing in water and would splash her bowl everywhere. Thankfully she has never done this and my problem has been solved! (The most she has done is stand in it, never reach down inside!)

OMG!! ROFLMAO!! I was actually searching for this fountain because my 4 cats ALL love to play in the water, be it Drinkwell or open dish. It's a daily battle even with a plastic tray and puppy-piddle pads. I thought this might be a good solution. Hmmm...maybe not!!

You should just put this waterer in the tub with a long plug-in and train him to find his water in there. That way he can go to town on throwing water everywhere and you don't have much to clean.
