PS3 Macross Trial Frontier - stage 1~4 play

Macross Frontier is a really cool anime, but this game seems a little bit monotonous.

And this constant warning siren is just plain annoying. :-/

But ok thats annoying in every Flying game where you get warned about incoming missiles in a penetrating way.

So... is this pretty much a carbon copy of the Macross (something) Frontier games for the PSP? Pretty disappointing if so. I didn't even know about this game until someone linked to it.

All PS3 games have no region lock so yes it's fine to play in the U.S

This is not the full game. It's only a demo as full game is not out yet. If you want this demo you can only buy it as part of the Macross Frontier Hybrid Pack Blu ray and no it does not have English as an option. Although it is very straightforward and you can get by easily without knowing Japanese.

As this is only a demo ver. No way to tell if full ver will have multi. But very likely it will as the psp ver. has ad hoc party enabled.

Very unlikely as Macross has never really picked up in the West. So will doubt they will port this over.

@JayCeeChan If it were ported over they would butcher it into a Robotech game since Robotech is more popular here than the real Macross. (to be honest I'd rather have a game that plays like the macross levels in the A.C.E. series and is a cross series game with stuff from all macross universes.)

@S0ryiu Sadly, Harmony Gold doesn't have the rights for Macross Frontier and other Macross Series besides the first since Bandai is gonna rape them if they butcher it.

@duo2nd Actually Harmony Gold owns the rights to all Maacross related material if it is distributed in the US. They must be paid royalties on things that otehr companies release. Bandai owns nothign with Macross aside from action figure and model kit tie ins. The two companies in Japan who own the franchise are Big West and Tatsunoko. Please do research be

@duo2nd No, he has royalty rights. Big west owns the franchise while tatsunoko owns the characters, mechs, names, and likenesses.

@duo2nd Tatsunoko owns the designs used from the first series, meaning any designs that are a derivitive all belong to Tatsunoko. Big West owns the distribution rights to the enterity of Macross. Why do you think we never got any Macross series other than the original and Plus here in the US? it's because the three companies that own portions of the franchise as a whole rarely get along and it took the intevention of a fourth company (ADV) to make it work.
