After 1960, everything came from Japan. German engineering went into a stagnation period including USA.

@TechCrazy Read my comment again, i said the " JET" not the jet engine besides that british engine you're talking about was absoulutely too heavy for it to even be considerd fly-able in comparison to Junker's and Messerschmitt's. The first opperational jet fighter being the Messerschmitt 262 with swept wings and even guided misscles.........

Wonderful, now we have more global technology sharing than ever, are any Japanese cars using German technology?, and BMWs with Honda motors or Japanese missles with German engines ?, this is very wrong, one group will eventually take over, does it make sense to buy a Swiss watch if it uses a Japanese movement ?, maybe Germany will give all it's wonderful ideas to the Chinese real soon, wouldn't that be super ?

American firms are also trying to streamline their engineering and management structures to better compete in the global marketplace, and some ideas are from Japan. Good examples: Caterpillar, Cadillac, Google. Bad examples: the american car companies :(
