  • way too fast.

  • The beginning is a bit fast, and when rushed, it takes out the emotion, but nonetheless, it was played very accurately and clear, good job.

  • heard this being payed by a busker in Falmouth, by the sea on a blissfully sunny day. Best setting you could imagine. Then drove me nuts cos I didn't know who wrote it and what it was called. Sanity saved eventually by You tube thank god!

  • @agrumpysheep Haha, same here - sunny day, snow is laying on the fields... and you drive your car and then they play this amazing song on the radio and you go 'oh my god! if they're not gonna say who the composer is after the song is over I'm gonna kill myself!'

  • Прекрасное исполнение! Замечательная мелодия...

  • are you sure it's safe to take your piano into space? (0:30)

  • my hands are too small to play the other half of the song lol

  • Not easy to play those big chords!

  • the disappearance of haruhi suzumiya o.0

  • @roxasnriku1 windstruck before haruhi...

  • GREAT !!!

  • The theme song from "My Dinner with Andre" starring Andre Gregory and Wallace Shawn.

  • beautiful ^^

  • When his face first slides onto the piano, it scared the hell out me lol.

  • Wow... (-*_*-) You're the best one I heard from all the videos I saw.

The recording quality is very good too.

    But, your playing...it's SO wonderful...

  • Relax...

  • Why do I feel like you rush through some parts? Like slips when trying to control the tempo? But yeah, when I play it happens too.

  • love it.. ^-^

  • This song is fantastic. Although, I'll be the first to admit that the first time I heard it was while playing Mother 3...

  • Perfect!!

  • One of the best interpretations of this work I have heard. This one is going to my favorites!

  • Эрик Сати)))

    Even the video is great!

  • I see your point about the chords, but redistributing the chords between the hands is an innovation introduced in recent editions, Why? Because young students often cannot reach the ninths. We do know that Satie did NOT want those chords rolled. No notes are changed when this is done, so this is hardly a problem, and to play the score "as written" (I do myself) is hardly no radical revisionism.

  • Your playing is wonderful, but I do wish you would hold the notes to their full value sometimes. You can't really tell because of the pedal but it still bothers me a little.

  • @mcrflyleafdisturbed with all due respect but he is not playing 4 u.

  • left hand little to fast!! other wise very good

  • @boxingfit was his right hand fast enough? They did seem to finish together, you know.

  • its beautiful!

  • Well done Sir! played very well.

  • awesome performance!

one of my most fevorate classic creations, can't stop playing this. :)

  • beautiful sound and video, thankyou

  • I can't stand it when I hear "professionals" play the slow pieces so tight and pushing forward. That's not what you would do if you were walking in Paris at night, relaxing and reflecting; fast-walking and leaning forward. Also would recommend more of a dynamic flow; too much of the same forte

  • @Coastergamer200 i dont think he gives a shit about the preferences of some random commenter

  • @ConfuciousCarter Ya ur cool.....Too bad I actually know what I'm talking about. Your seriously a sad person. Go fuck urself

  • @Coastergamer200 im pretty sure i know what im talking about...he is free to interpret the piece any way he wants

  • bravooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice video, beautiful music.... Please take a walk on Youtube neuronaluniverse.thanks a lot for hear my music.

  • Superb video!

  • I so wish I could play it like that. Fantastic. Thank you.

  • i think of kingdom hearts when i hear this

  • @raypoo04 Thats because your gay.

  • wow~~ U get me in the mood~~ You are so amazing~~

  • Your interpretation seems a bit heavy handed. A little more forte' than I believe was intended. The Bosendorfer sound is remarkable.

  • lovely,

  • @TzviErez Ahaaaa. I didn't know that about the pedal thing... Thanks ;)

  • ahhh.. so calming... :)

  • i love this song

  • my dog was asleep when he hear hese music

  • би яг одоо чамайгаа хэмжээлшгүй ихээр санаж байна.... Үенч-д

  • ene duug sonsohoor uchigdur oroi chamtai hamt bsan udesh sanagdaj bna....Bambu,,,,

  • balsam dla duszy...

  • heard this piece on the radio today,, in snippets,, came home,, found it on here... and ,, the stress from the day has gone,, .. Wonderful... Perfect.. Stunning. Many thanks....

  • te extraño mucho papa

  • Just can't explain how I feel when I hear that tune...

  • fast fast fast

  • just BEATIFULL!

  • Why so fast?

  • perhaps the true test of a virtuoso is to make the piano sing when the piece is more about the music than the piano...

this is played so unself-consciously...achieving the perfect balance of intellectual pensivness and romantic emotionalism..

    bravo

    douglas

  • es Baiona???

  • You are so inspiring, i love this piece and i learned a lot listening to you play thank you :)

  • Compare to Charlotte Church's "From my First Moment"

  • amasing!, you play it so perfectly, and wonderful, a beautiful melody. ^^

  • very beautiful...

  • you play wonderful and also sound and video quality is excellent.Thank you...

  • you play everything so wonderfully :) I admire you deeply

  • Zelda Ocarina of Time!!!

That's what I think of when I hear this song.

  • yeeeeeaaah you nailed it I was trying to figure out why it sounded so familiar... maybe zelda's theme is inspired on this song...

  • The opening "Start Screen" with sweeping shots across the field of Hyrule in Zelda Ocarina of Time is accompanied by an exact, albeit midi, rendition of this song.

  • @pookiehohn

Indeed, when i hear the Ocarina of Time theme i think about this music. :D

  • @pookiehohn Sat dowen yeasterday starting to learn this piece, and after the two first chords, the only thig i could think of was the opening screen from Zelda Ocarina of time, lol!!

  • @pookiehohn Yeah same chords from the Menu that's why it sounds alike.

  • but I like a lot

  • is more a nostalgic melody

  • @darknightmare86: I totally agree with you. I often try to avoid listening to this piece because it always causes me to think back to things I would rather not :(

  • Another excellent Video of the King of Piano Video excellence, Tzvi Erez!!!!!!!!

Most happy to be a friend h His Majesty!!!!

    EUGE!!!! WELLDONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice! : )

    I also uploaded today too!

Merry Xmas from your piano friend Karl

  • Well done!

  • Heh, I'm gonna try playing it without breaking chords as well. I wonder where I can find the original manuscript, however.

  • Nice view of the hands and great tempo. Excellent playing!

  • Most perfectly shaped melody lines! Bravo.
