People work hard to get high view counts, and subscribers. When you get your account is deleted, all that hard work is lost. Simply Re-Uploading the videos to a second account is not guaranteed to get those views/subscribers back either.

OK, for all you who still don't understand how account suspensions work, this is the basic idea. you make a video at home, of you in your backyard playing catch. millions of people love your videos, 1 person gets jealous and decides he/she is gonna destroy your account. he/she writes a false claim saying that you copied whatever from your video. youtube says: "O NOES, a lawsuit!!" and decides to get rid of the problem by deleting your account. sad, but it has happened before.
Love the video. I just started to look into false claims on youtube since it's now hitting people I know on here. I've heard one person in particular is doing it by way of several accounts. Hopefully, this guy is IP banned soon.

5 out of 5 guys, This is a serious issue that must be solved. Internet videos and tributes have become a part of life that are not going anywhere. We're not doing anything wrong, and do not deserve to have our accounts taken off just because of some random stranger watching has a problem with it. Using other's music is perfectly fine as long as you give them credit for it. And If the narrow minded old fools at the WMG think they know better then that, then they can go fuck themselves.
I agree with everything in this video. This account of mine got restored a few days ago. One of my videos was taken down and suspended me for my 3rd strike. However, I've suspected for a while now that that video was taken down by a false claim called Art Bank. From my research, they have nothing to do with my video. I did the counter-claim, but now whoever it was has my personal info. And now that my account is back all my videos are gone. I had over 100 of them. This is getting out of hand!

There is an user called rumblefishinc who targeted one of my videos by claiming that he owns a song from the Audio Swap. The song was a piece of Mozart. The song came from the Audio Swap files. The bad thing is youtube is letting him get away with this crime.
It's not just record labels and random vandals... If a 'friend' gets a grudge against you, he can take you down too. That's what happened to me. And he'll never face any consequences.

I read an article (I wish I remembered what site it was on) that said Warner pulling it's music off of youtube was the equivalent of them pulling music off the radio in the 80's. It's a STUPID move. One that WILL cost them thousands of dollars in potential sales. UMG has it right. When you use one of their songs, they link to a Itunes download below your video. That's how it should be done.

Should I take the risk and file an INTERNATIONAL COUNTER NOTICE for my account THEJLG. I did upload songs without changing them HOWEVER one of my videos that was removed I had filtered the lead vocals off - so it was different from the 'original'. Would that count as fair use? Plus this same video was removed due to a copyright claim by a 'third party' - whereas the other ones actually state a real record label.

Couldn't agree more with this video, after what happened to FBWalshyFTW. If his account doesn't get put back up a lot of people are going to be really pissed. WMG sucks, company is run by a bunch of overprotective idiots who won't allow their music to be used because "people will DL from Youtube." Youtube and the record companies will never win this battle. People will continue to post videos featuring content without consent from the original artist. The only way to stop this is by shutting down youtube, and we all know that isn't going to happen.

I`ve found a video that got its audio removed by a supossed copyright infrigement...The things is that it wasn`t a a music video, it was an Argentinian tv soap video and it had no music at all, just people talking..That means that YouTube automaticaly erases audio if someone maliciously claims copyright, and even faster if that person pretends to be from a big corporation like WMG... that were using the song from my youtube box and when i went back to make sure that all 20 letters were sent, I saw that only 5 of the letters were sent by youtube. Now how does that happen? Why did it happen? Because youtube is in our personal boxes thats how... I was writing to ask these 20 others how they were able to use the song without copyright. But mine with religious overtones in it gets yanked in less than a day... Something IS going on with youtube... And it's not good. BIG BROTHER!
They just yanked down a video of mine that contained the song When The Man Comes Around from Johnny Cash. The problem is that it was a religious video over the song. Now what really boils my ass is that there are 20 others online that are using that same song. They did not do a damn thing about their videos. My video was up less than 24 hours and they yanked it. The other 20 using the song have had theirs up for years and many months. I also wrote those 20 people (continued in next post)

I think for companies like WMG.. its all about control. People were using stuff in their videos and when WMG and others realized it, they panicked cause they no longer had any control.

OK, for all you who still don't understand how account suspensions work, this is the basic idea. you make a video at home, of you in your backyard playing catch. millions of people love your videos, 1 person gets jealous and decides he/she is gonna destroy your account. he/she writes a false claim saying that you copied whatever from your video. youtube says: "O NOES, a lawsuit!!" and decides to get rid of the problem by deleting your account. sad, but it has happened before.

5 out of 5 guys, This is a serious issue that must be solved. Internet videos and tributes have become a part of life that are not going anywhere. We're not doing anything wrong, and do not deserve to have our accounts taken off just because of some random stranger watching has a problem with it. I agree with everything in this video. This account of mine got restored a few days ago. One of my videos was taken down and suspended me for my 3rd strike. However, I've suspected for a while now that that video was taken down by a false claim called Art Bank. From my research, they have nothing to do with my video. I did the counter-claim, but now whoever it was has my personal info. And now that my account is back all my videos are gone. I had over 100 of them. This is getting out of hand!

I read an article (I wish I remembered what site it was on) that said Warner pulling it's music off of youtube was the equivalent of them pulling music off the radio in the 80's. It's a STUPID move. One that WILL cost them thousands of dollars in potential sales. UMG has it right. When you use one of their songs, they link to a Itunes download below your video. That's how it should be done.

Should I take the risk and file an INTERNATIONAL COUNTER NOTICE for my account THEJLG. I did upload songs without changing them HOWEVER one of my videos that was removed I had filtered the lead vocals off - so it was different from the 'original'. Would that count as fair use? i make videos that only a small group of people watch but people STILL WATCH THEM! One of my videos was full of funny quotes from my friends and the song playing was "Mr. Roboto" by Styx and the audio was removed! So, I go through the dispute process andd get my audio back and then IT GETS REMOVED AGAIN! Same with ahppened with another video using "Don't Trust Me" by 3OH!3. that were using the song from my youtube box and when i went back to make sure that all 20 letters were sent, I saw that only 5 of the letters were sent by youtube. Now how does that happen? Why did it happen? Because youtube is in our personal boxes thats how... I was writing to ask these 20 others how they were able to use the song without copyright. They just yanked down a video of mine that contained the song When The Man Comes Around from Johnny Cash. The problem is that it was a religious video over the song. Now what really boils my ass is that there are 20 others online that are using that same song. They did not do a damn thing about their videos. My video was up less than 24 hours and they yanked it. The other 20 using the song have had theirs up for years and many months. I also wrote those 20 people (continued in next post)

I think for companies like WMG.. its all about control. People were using stuff in their videos and when WMG and others realized it, they panicked cause they no longer had any control.

i also hope youtube take note.there's a licence called a prs in the uk.(stupid as it is,small businesses aren't even allowed a radio playing background music without one),now,i presume youtube have one,therefore,wouldn't that cover us youtubers?i reckon it's the recent clampdown on piracy that's caused this outrage.but they are targeting the wrong people for the wrong reasons.still,when we buy music,does this mean it's not technically ours?and they wonder why people won't pay!!!

the only thing that needs to be removed from youtube is that bogus company, that is getting hold of users details and making false claims, scary stuff. i have had to use audioswap on more than one occasion and i've never understood why. but what i do know, is that at the end of the day it all boils down to the root of all evil, yes money. so glad i stumbled across this video. i'm not alone in my thinking. well said, now spread. hope the record comapanies listen,review and renew their policies.

Time will come in YouTube that even talking will be considered copyright infrigement and all videos will be SILENT. Then only YouTube,WMG and UMG wil have the privilege to listen to music.

It's a revolution, thats what it is. Were in a age where its all about information. If we market these record company who owns copyright, then why not they complain if they hear a stranger playing their music in a car or something in particular. In may not be written on the script, but its reality, at least let us give them credit for promoting their materials when someone doesn't give a crap about untill they see us do it.
