Lincoln School Playground fire. Rutherford NJ Fire Department

Most likely that playground is covered in shredded rubber from recycled tires. Great for kids when they fall, but they make a hell of a fire.

If its like the school I went to, they took old tires and cut them up into 2"-3" chunks and used that for like the bedding on the ground. It was about a good 1' thick.

Yes a kid was playing with fire and i think dry leaves i know who he is but i will not say and yeah it came on fire really really bad i live in rutherford so yeah i know that kid.

@jdgator95 it was plastic and rubber when the fire was put out the slide was turned into a blue puddle...

I just felt like looking this up because today, we saw smoke in the distance and went to investigate, turns out, someone set fire to a playground next to a synagauge (jewish church) but it wasn't NEARLY as bad as this.
