I have this particular Zaku, and I love the sculpt. There's quite a lot of detail and potential for customization. The hands, however, are useless. Good luck ever trying to get the bazooka into any kind of action pose.

Wow a Zaku 2 1/144 HG i don't have great review this Zaku looks very impresive even has a cockpit and the 08th MS team was one of my favorite series this will be a great addition to my growing Zaku army and who couldnt use a extra RX 79 ground gundam thanks for the great review!

I really loved the GM sniper and the Gouf Flight type from the 8th MS team. I did consider getting this set a few years ago though.

I like this kit because it gives you the parts to make the normal Zaku II as well as the 08th MS Team version. I also like it because it mimics the PG Zaku design.

@vegeta8259 This would be an easy mod into a 0078 Zaku II. Knock off the studs on his shield and from the front you'd be there already. Some work needed to revert the thrusters on the bottoms of his flared trouser legs though.

I have like five of this kit, and I think I've built about ten in my lifetime. It's not a very good kit, but damn I love it.

I bought this from Walmart back in the day when they were selling them, and the Zaku II was missing.

@2Old4Toys I know right? They sold the Wing models, and occasionally 08th MS Team. As well as the action figures and the SD kits. I still have the HG Deathscythes I bought there. OH, and I also got the Gold Burning gundame action figure as well as the Shining Gundam model kit. That was around 96 or so, so you can only get them at hobby and Anime/gaming stores now. The figures were about 10 bucks and the kits were 20 or so

It's very interesting that this kit looks exactly like the sculpt of the MG Zaku ver1.0. It has the same proportion, panel lines as well as the cockpit details. Nice review as always.

I like the HG 08th MS Team kits, they're old enough to be different, but new enough so as not to be out of proportion.

I'm quite impressed on this kit since it's somehow on par with some of the current HG's we have today...seeing that this was a kit from the 90's I think it's a pretty awesome kit during it's time. and BTW nice review I kinda like how you went through all those detail and articulation in a short amount of time :)
