@tylerlane94 they can sell them just like stores sell radar detectors,once they are in ur car,then its illgal.theres a lot of confusion cause in canada the gov says that you gotta be of a certain position in life to get a licence for one,but people think that you can have one,people must be stupid,but the gov puts laws in the books that they can never regulate anyway but i think they leave it to the system if they catch u during a criminal act then they can take action.

Its illigal and impossible unless you have a 10+ year old scanner and a very old cellphone that uses a frequency the scanner can pickup.

No your wrong. It is fully legal to listen to them.

And all modern scanners can pick up analog unencrypted police transmissions and the more expensive digital ones can pick up unencrypted P25 transmissions.

Sadly more and more areas are getting encryption which makes scanning impossible

most likely no for the fact if the police decide to raid the house cos they have a warrant and he his found with one they can lock him up for good... cos its an aid to help them avoid the police and there warrant for arrest... but then again it can vary from state to state.

This looks to be a Uniden/Bearcat scanner, Correct me if I'm wrong. But the orange screen is common with the Uniden/Bearcat Models. Either that or it's a AOR scanner.

you can't listen to police radios in the uk anymore anyway cuz they use digital radios now which these scanners cant pick up, you can still listen to peopls phone calls though
