I couldn't figure out why I liked Russel Brand. Yes I saw he was intellegent, witty and handsom. But he is made out to be such a demon; a womaniser, drug addict, mischief maker. I think this helped figure it out, its his honesty, sincerity, and wonder of all things.

I'm half way through reading Russell's Booky Wook (got the book yesterday morning and hardly put it down) and had to pause out of interest to see some of these RE:Brand episodes, more out of interest to see what Russell was like at this period in his life..I'm really taken back by this Homeless James one. It shows a very different kind and caring side to Russell.

I'm glad Russell Brand became a flavor here in the US because while a lot of people just see the wild-haired lothario, some of us are willing to seek out his other work and after I saw RE:Brand, I just fell in love with him. I don't know if any US "celebrities" would be so willing to be kind or embrace a homeless person, even if just for ratings. Russell's a decent human being, man.

True... but at the time Russell wasn't a celebrity. This show was on at like 3am on some obscure satellite channel, and most of the time he was high as fuck while filming, before or after. Don't get me wrong though, still love Russ.
