Hey kids, it never occured to you that modern magazines are made of translucent polymer and not metal? It's not "scrap metal" or something like that, it's just a translucent magazine = plastic and not metal. It's not sci-fi either since most MODERN firearms has polymer magazines (plus large parts of the weapon itself).

I finished it in six hours. I give it a 7.5/10. I would have given it an 8/10 but as with most games there were little things that bugged me. Like constantly having to charge up your flash light and night goggles and playing most of the game in pitch dark. Also when outside and you have your gas mask on it's like you have bronchitis and the sound gets to be a little annoying at times. Also ammo is very limited in this game making the ammo versus enemy ratio unbearable.

That's way to high man. I'd say it's on par with Fallout3 and Bioshock 1&2 but i wouldn't say it's better because each game has it's own gameplay style ie. Fallout3=VATS, Bioshock=vending machines and plasmids, Metro:2033=air filters, charging up flash lights and night goggles etc.

Metro 2033 is about a safe haven underground society. If you actually watched the other trailers oyu would know that that "society" isn't safe. Do a little research first before making dumass comments.

mmmm how come I sense another Darkest of Days, I mean the "marketing" of the game looks impressive but tell I get a decent review from game trailers or so I probably won't touch it.
this looks awesome, kinda like a russian fallout 3, except far more darker and actually survival horror as opposed to happy romp through the wasteland with bad animations.
I don't get the people who claim S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has bad shooting mechanics etc. As for the bugs, there are patches you know. I played it through without patches also and I didn't notice any major bugs.
The game's actually done by people who left the STALKER team. They left and started work on this game which actually uses an engine that is based off of STALKER's X-Ray engine which explain the similar look.
Too intriguing to be related to anything by Bethesda. Maybe the fat that half the main Fallout 3 campaign takes place in a sewer level, but this looks far less copypasted over and over again.

The 4a engine is the X-ray engine. All they have done is tweaked it then renamed it.
I really like the X-ray engine, it's super atmospheric but if you are running this on PC then be prepared for epic system requirements.

Metro 2033 is about a safe haven underground society. If you actually watched the other trailers oyu would know that that "society" isn't safe. Do a little research first before making dumass comments.

this looks awesome, kinda like a russian fallout 3, except far more darker and actually survival horror as opposed to happy romp through the wasteland with bad animations.

But it is inspired by Fallout series.
But not the game. And it´s not so similar to Fallout. Take a look to the book ;)

I don't get the people who claim S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has bad shooting mechanics etc. As for the bugs, there are patches you know. I played it through without patches also and I didn't notice any major bugs.

The game's actually done by people who left the STALKER team. They left and started work on this game which actually uses an engine that is based off of STALKER's X-Ray engine which explain the similar look.

Too intriguing to be related to anything by Bethesda. Maybe the fat that half the main Fallout 3 campaign takes place in a sewer level, but this looks far less copypasted over and over again.

@ringosis yeah but this is different than fallout. Read about it dipshit instead of stupid things like bottlecaps being used as money they use something that actually makes sense in a story. They use ammunition as currency secondly there is no hud and when you use your map it will not pause. Also notice that this is going to be the type of game where other friendly AI actually fight instead of being stupid packhorses that need to be babysat.

Your a dumbass for thinking that. Really the book is really old. Older then Fallout. And secondly the dev team is the old STALKER dev team, who have read the book and like the idea. Oh and also, this engine, 4a, is the old stalker x-ray engine. Even in the early demo trailer you can see the the wagon of the train from STALKER.

OK so what your saying is that the devs that made this game got a job GSC Games because they wanted to start their own company and develop Metro 2033?
They worked on the X-Ray engine and three stalker games for ten years but that was just some kind of elaborate front for their true plan?
You're honestly trying to tell me that you believe that the idea to use this book as a setting for this game came before the idea to make another post apocolyptic FPS/RPG hybrid ?
