oh by the way mr KEMPOUK,he did not remove a stramit (yes stramit) correct wording if actually a real roofer, he removed a compacted wood wool slab deck(no straw involved) , i like the way he asks how to do EPDM lol, whats he gonna start laying ropey single ply now . God help the roofing trade back home
I am living in alberta canada now doing flat roofing here, loads of single ply going down here, their torch on systems are 15 years behind and they use more hot bitumen than anything, the roofs take a real beating here, plus 40 c in summer and minus 40 or more in winter.
Judging by the amount of flat roofers coming out here from england u should be milking it soon lol.. Nick
the old deck was a woodwool slab mate, very strong deck, never had to replace one ever in industrial word, i see old KEMPOUK who deleted my previous comments on his water cooled spot bonded felt roof he laid in the snow was removed by him lol.
Like ur vid's mate, actually showing the punter whats going on, i am a london roofer got nvq ,bauder ticket, pro spec , esha, every thing on the market ticket lol.
oooh, Stirling board raises a frown. nice job though, did you have to insulate after removing the insulation values of the strummet (straw) board, or did you get away with just a layer of cheap Stirling.
also how do you perform a lap joint on your epdm? using the jointing tape or the primer and liquid rubber (mastic)or do you hire the welding tool to fuse the rubbers together.
that strammit board is supposed to have a screed on it to strengthen it but why anyone would use that shit is beyond me

We have to use Stirling board it has a better British Standard than WPB, until I was trained I didn't know this I always used ply.
The joints are lapped and glued, very quick unlike the hot air system.
