@421411 The speed sensor is on the output shaft of the gearbox. Even without a chain to the rear wheel, it would still give a speed reading according to the speed of the gearbox. It is calibrated for the particular model. I believe this is from one of Ghostrider's videos.

It appears to be in km/h. If it is, then it's around 190mph.

If you notice when he's passing in between the two large vehicles, one is going at abour 120 kmh, which is about 75mph. So I'm assuming it is kmh.

299 is the maximum speed that is programmed to display. You'll notice that it climbs to 299 and then stops there, even though the RPM still increase slightly beyond that. Also note that the speed is just the indicated speed, and the actual speed will always be a little below that.

I bet that speedo is off. At 1:15, while passing between the bus and the caravan, the speedo says 130 km/h. That's about 75 mph. Pretty unlikely, considering both these vehicles are of the slower moving type. Assuming they're actually going 65 mph, this makes for a speedo error of 15.4%. Which makes the top speed of 300 kph actually 260 kph, or 162 mph. Pretty quick, still, but the average passing speed was about 226 kph, or 140... something quite a few sport riders do.
