@ACDCsuperfan91 i think that the chase having all the tracks that it did played into jimmies success. he is obviously good at about 90 percent of them. but the great thing about nascar is that it never stays the same. sooner or later the tracks in the chase will be changed and it will suit a different drivers driving style and jimmie will fall. we are already seeing a possible sign of jimmies downfall with california being taken out of the chase. just be patient. a different champ will come soon

Let me just say this, Haas-Carter Racing was a bad operation, they got the right people in place now, it just took Stewart to grab the reins and get the right people in there, in that year they didn't have the right people.

Well, at least he got a top-5. That's important. The Hendrick organization seems to be a little off this year from last year. I think everyone got mad when it was pretty much Hendrick dominance in '07, then they stepped it up a couple notches, and that's what's happened. I think JGR's gonna have the same problem in '09.
It's all a coensidence. (I probably didn't even spell that right.) So was his win the next week when he passed Dale Earnhardt, on his birthday. And when Jeff won the championship in 2001, when Dale died. ALL coencidence.

I think everyone got mad when it was pretty much Hendrick dominance in '07, then they stepped it up a couple notches, and that's what's happened. I think JGR's gonna have the same problem in '09.

It's all a coensidence. (I probably didn't even spell that right.) So was his win the next week when he passed Dale Earnhardt, on his birthday. And when Jeff won the championship in 2001, when Dale died. ALL coencidence.

they're bettr now, johnson won at PIR, gordon ran 9th the other night, and remember, gordon ran good early at daytona broke suspension, finished 3rd at california or auto club speedway, and had a top run at las vegas but wrecked, so it wasnt toooooo bad

dale's like my new favorite driver, i agree about everything, it kind of, as kyle busch would say, "suck" seeing chevy win like every race, its more even now which makes better racing. i kind of figured gibbs was going to be kind of bad in toyotas, but they did wat they did when they switched to pontiacs something years ago, dominate. i dont think hendrick fell off, i think everyone caught up, hendrick didnt do a lot of teating in the off season, sooooooooooo,wait, i need to do another comment

@deathsonlyson yeah, the only difference is that jeff can still drive a race car, and jr seems to have trouble starting one. jr needs to pick up the pace and start winning or next time his contract is up for renewal at hendrick, rick is gonna can his ass. there are too many good drivers in nascar to keep dale in the 88 if he cant produce the results that are expected when you drive for rick hendrick.

You know Jeff and Sr. was never hated each other when he was alive. But I love watching Jeff beat Tony Stewart!! But Gordon and Sr. will be one of the greatest of all time. But I feel that Gordon took Jr. under his wing bc of his dad's death. He was tought by Sr. now its Gordon's turn!

I'm no gordon fan, i've always been a earnahrdt fan myself, but he is damn good.
Also everybody thinks that since He and Earnhardt were rivals on the track, they hated each other, and earnhardt took gordon under his wing so to speak and taught him the ropes.
also if i'm right when earnhardt died gordon was one to really help out jr.
