  • wich one shouldi get xd

  • why do you need to use more than 6 keys at a time???

  • @krieger5421 asked the same question myself

  • 5:11 steelseries

    5:32 blackwidow

  • do it have a lillte touch pad like the other Razers keyboard ? :)

  • 134, and y0u?

  • i dunno why but i prefer the blacks over the blue and browns. The tactile feedback is over exaggerated. I was so pumped to get browns but then was like -_- when i tried them

  • @JeRRiiEz Yah man, blacks are way better.

  • Got the Razer BlackWidow recently and I'm absolutly pleased with it. The feel when typing is amazing, sounds great.. Just an overall great keyboard

  • the razer blackwidow that he was showcasing can not press 6 keys at once. It can only press 2 keys at once and a few more around wasd as it has a matrix to make wasd work.

  • Спасибо Дима, все по полочкам разложил, толковое сравнение!

  • razer stuff always look cheap but steelseries stuff are always ugly.. so.. whats for daskeyboard and cheaper keyboard like " Azio KB588U Levetron " and " Xarmor U9" ? i want to see a video review of those keyboard please :) that was verry interesting

  • just wanna ask what cherry mx suits better if we never use any mechanical keyboard? ... for now I use logitech G1 keyboard and I want to buy mechanical keyboard for gaming especially FPS games. thx

  • nice review ! ... not like those other vids out there where people are just showing some stupid brainless fanboy speech and telling some specs that can be found on the packaging :)

But for me the "daskeyboard Professional DE" is the way to go :)

  • thx for the good review.. :)

  • Is English your first language? Not that it matters, it sounds like it isn't, but regardless your review is more fluent and articulated than most reviewers with english as a first language. This is very well done, and I do prefer the Black Widow I think it is really fluid, you just need to pick up some microfiber cloths since natural oils stain the keys easily. Good job man.

  • What doesn't have USB these days. if your computer doesn't have USB and you're getting a gaming keyboard, something is wrong with you

  • @coldfyre18

    Ees russian

    Swedish sounds much different,

  • What accent is that? Swedish?

  • I'd take 5 macro keys over pressing more than 6 keys at a time any day. It's not like you're going to be pressing more than 6 at a time anyways.

  • razer lycosa <3

  • @gmanthebeast1 Ps/2 or maybe that mech keyboards aren't new ither, they where switched cause they made a damn load of noice at the office. Btw I was trying to help

  • @MultiSnoopDawg What mech keyboards still use a ps/2??? The keyboards arent new? You arent making much sense bro. Cherry mx just came out like five years ago. They are a standardized designed version of the old ibm boards. They most definitely are up to date and new.

  • @gmanthebeast1 they are up to date for sure, just that ps/2 is 20+ years old. And if you really didnt know, the 6gv2 uses ps/2... and ibm which is what i was refering to as old mech boards, where to laud back then, but with this new cherry tech they are ninja silent. If i still sound dumb or dont make and dont make sense, im affraid one of us doesnt speak english

  • Comment removed

  • @gmanthebeast1 holy fucking jesus, have you been using the usb and not ps/2???? With the usb the keyboard can use 6 keys, and uses CPU power to do so, with ps/2, the keys can't lagg so you can press every key at once, plus it uses no CPU power. Go on google, type steelseries and read about the darn board, it comes with a usb to ps/2 adapter. So you calling me dumb for thinking i know of something about what i don't have, i am calling dumb cause you don't know what you have in the box xDDDDDDDDD

  • @MultiSnoopDawg You can use either. When in a RTS or FPS do you use more than six keys??? lol.... you cant even use proper grammar son. Yes, you are a bit on the dumb side.

  • @gmanthebeast1 why ami dumb, you werent sure if the 6gv2 uses ps/2 or not, and there is no disatvantege to the, while with the usb there is. If you have a laggy pc, using ps/2 would help. btw, in an fps it can hapen that you press more than six, you are using 2 all the time, an if you have to crouch to a jump, ye. so its still dumb not using a ps/2 its like getting a fast car that can drive 250 kph or using one at 500. the 500 one is oil saving, so...

  • @MultiSnoopDawg I wasnt sure what the 6gv2 uses? When was that?

  • @gmanthebeast1 i quote: "the 6gv2 uses a usb hub" or along those lines, the point is, if you dont use ps/2, you dont have the keyboard you bought.

  • @MultiSnoopDawg You said I wasnt sure what it uses. You just quoted me having a definite answer to what it actually uses.... Youre not making much sense here kid.

  • @gmanthebeast1 i remember another quote. Here we go: "what keyboards still use ps/2?" Well 6gv2, 7g, all that. And you came to me claiming 6gv2 didnt have the ps, so...Where dont i make sense?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg No I said ps/2 by itself lol. I dont even have to say anything you just keep owning yourself rofl.

  • @gmanthebeast1 whuuut, look brother, the 6g is ment to use ps/2, like the 7g, but so many people dont have it so steelseries spared those folks from the trouble of having the long ps/2 to usb adapter hanging out og their porteble. And if im not talking to two diffrent people, you asked me what keyboards still use ps/2, or it was that other guy, not sure (am i the only person that doesnt check names?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg No, it isnt meant to use either. Its personal preferance. Both have the adapter so youre wrong on that as well lol. See? you dont even know who asked you what so why are you continuing this conversation?

  • @gmanthebeast1 i just checked, and yep the first dude never replied, it was you all along. And i dont think usb to ps/2 is a preference, its like a vols vagen vs a BMW, they dont compare. There is just no atvantege with the usb, but the fact that its a short plug, but other then that, what makes it better?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg it was me all along what? What did I do all along? When did I say usb was better? And when did I compare them?

  • @gmanthebeast1 the fisrt dude wanted to know something, then you replied to me about about steelseries not being old school, which they are if the use ps 2, and then this war started, and you keep telling me that the 6g is not meant to use ps 2 and its a choice of prefernce, and i think i can tell you dont use it, meaning you ither prefer it or dont have a ps 2 connector. And what i meant with "it was you all along" was that you claimed not saying shit, making me think i was talking to 2 people

  • @MultiSnoopDawg No...I replied with mechanical keyboards in GENERAL WTIH cherry mx keys not being old school. You have horrible reading comprehension and grammar. Ill give you one more chance to re-read the comments and actually respond with a logical comment.

  • @gmanthebeast1 cherry is old school cause they based the switch on IMB model, or what that name is. To be honest i have no idea what grammer is, so that just gets me confused. And are you claiming that ps/2, and the look, AND the IMB based cherry swtich is not old school? I dont mean old school as in slow and terrible looking, the ps 2 has always been better than usb, old looks good unless its my grandma, and the IMB was the best before cherry. Btw, you said that cherry came from IMB=new school?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg No....cherry is not old school. Cherry mx keys just came out about 6 years ago. I love how youre like mind fucking yourself in paragraphs with every response LOL. This is hilarious.

  • @gmanthebeast1 there is a diffrence between old and old school, right? If there isnt, well what i mean to say is that steelseries is kindove classic in it, meaning looks and that the cherry key is based on the classic IMB. That is not saying cherry is old, its more like a remasterd version of something already amazing so its darn good. And i'll you give you right in that this is some fun stuff

  • @MultiSnoopDawg Yes but cherry mx keys are neither. If I put an ibm board on a chasis of today that would be old school. If I just used an IBM model fromt he 80s that would be old. Cherry mx keys are neither. And its not IMB lol.

  • @gmanthebeast1 lawl lawl lawl, i just miss understod the word old school, and sure no cherry aint IMB, it was just kindove inspired, ive heard :O Else, how does the old IMb work, is it like an old cherry or is it like new rock to old rock?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg Hey bro I work for imb and type on old school cherry mx keys! LAWL i dumb.

  • @gmanthebeast1 hhehe, whut :D tell me, is imb still a thing or am i dumb too? Still, some people prefer imb over normal keyboards, but i suggest they switch to cherry now.

  • @MultiSnoopDawg So you really have no idea what youre talking about at all do you? Do me a favor kid, tell me what "imb" is.

  • @gmanthebeast1 i havent used that stuff, i heard the cherry switch is bassed on that, or newer mech keyboards, but im pretty sure its a 80g key that is darn loud and they used to have ps/2, that i know. Bun im not sure if the keys are fancy or not, its loud and hevy and isnt rubber membrane. But i would expect its more comfterble that membrane since allot of people prefer IMB and cherry, and thats it. If i missed by light years, rofl

  • @gmanthebeast1 and IBM is a company, we or I am talking the keyboards they make or used too xD

  • @MultiSnoopDawg Now you get it right. Good job kid. After 10 fails you finally got it right.

  • @gmanthebeast1 shhh... I got the videos wrong i guess, they called it: "the IMB model M" and thats what i was trying to say, but since your truely mean you did'nt correct me, basdard, how should i know :D

  • @MultiSnoopDawg IBM model M not IMB. B before M bro

  • @gmanthebeast1 Whatever. But i actually found a model M in at the old part of my school, and its the best keyboard ive ever used!! It was so awsome

  • @MultiSnoopDawg Thats a cool story bro!

  • @gmanthebeast1 aww get a life :D But really its awsome, it was hevy like the steelseries g keyboards, but it also had that cherry mx brown click. But the sound was alot nicer than the blues, and even its loud, its sounds great! Im almost about to get onw of those newer model M's, by some weird as company that i'll have to serch up. Have you tried one of those models, or hoe long ago was that?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg I do have a life, which is why im not instantly responding to you like you are to me lol. No I have only used blues, browns and blacks. I hope a reputable company starts selling reds in the US. Most people say they are by far the best even better than blacks.

  • @gmanthebeast1 I dont even really know what reds do, its said to be a light black switch, but i dont think that should be that great. But are browns so diffrent from the blues other then sound, cause if their not i would like to try one, ive tried the black widow and it was pretty nice. BTW, random question, there is modern model M, or new, and that keyboard seems okay, do you think its worht the shot?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg They have the amazing efficiency of blacks but are easier to press down and not so exhausting on your fingers. The perfect key IMO. Blues are horrible for gaming. Dont use them. How expensive are those things??? what key do they use?

  • @gmanthebeast1 I wonder how good the red is if its lighter than then blacks, the reason theblue sucks is because its light, but that key is way light. Else, price of what, model M? That thing uses a hevy blue switch that makes a loud niose, but its not clicky, its more bump. I like it very much

  • @MultiSnoopDawg I wouldnt get anything with blues even at a good price. Although I doubt an ibm board would be cheap.

  • @gmanthebeast1 nah, the M's are like, 70-80 grams, so its a 7g with the blue switches. With the weight the key should not be slow. And its claimed the bump from pressing down a key is the best, thats why these DAS boards are doing great. But a random question, do you think full sized touch keyboards will suck, i do!

  • @MultiSnoopDawg I asked for the price not the weight... Das boards with brown switches are ok. Blues suck regardless of the company.

  • @gmanthebeast1 The price is about 60$ in US, with shiping 5$ extra. In Europe i dont knnow. But the reason i talk about weight is because that should say how fast the keys come back up, with the model M their fast. You might have noticed that the 6gv2 is hevy, but its also fast up again, just sayin.

  • @MultiSnoopDawg An ibm model keyboard for 60 dollars????? Bullshit link me the site. Weight has nothing to do with the keys.

  • @gmanthebeast1 i watched a video reviewing the unicomp model M, the modern version, and he said between 60-70$! but IBM wound be as cheap, since its more rare to find and its old. But yes, the weight does say if the key is fast back up again, the steelseries 7g is not light and the keys are fast, the razer blackwidow is light and has slow keys, but you wont really feel it so much, thats true

  • @gmanthebeast1 here is a link to that video watch?v=dg34hSL7gJk&lc=oht3yxVuZ5fmwC33bhLc3AWjPEHThcdG0yf_zf0_ZGA&feature=inbox

  • @MultiSnoopDawg If thats 60 bucks its a piece of shit

  • @gmanthebeast1 not a single person has said a bad word about it :D It isnt as good as IBMs' but its sure great. The downsides are, none removeble keys, or their not the same, not detacheble cord and it has no inner steel, sadly just plastick. But the unicomp model M is worth more than 60$ for sure!

  • @MultiSnoopDawg The downside is its a piece of shit :D

  • @gmanthebeast1 Well, if not for typing, it is :D Go with that das silent keyboard, its beast. BTW, do you know if its possible to get used to the little backspace on the Steelseries 7g, or should i get another keyboard because thats so big a deal. I gotta know!

  • @MultiSnoopDawg No I already have the best keyboard you can get, I dont need another one. I have been using the 7g for 3 months now and have had no problems with it. You will get used to the back space key in a few days trust me. Its an amazing keyboard.

  • @gmanthebeast1 I know its amazing, just that in case I can get used to the BS, i will shoot my self. I'm normally not great at typing, and when i dont missclick while going for backspace and make a ´´´´, I rage :D But with such a good keyboard its worth it

  • @MultiSnoopDawg lol. Trust me, it is worth it. If youre on your computer a lot youll get used to it ez

  • @gmanthebeast1 You might have noticed i reply to you lolingly fast, so am using it allot :D I do wonder though, many of them say that the brownes and the blues are so nice to type on, while the blacks are meh, but the 7g has that hand rest going for it. Is this light years away from truth or might it be?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg blues are directly for typing. I got the 7g because its for typing AND gaming. I have no problems typing on it for longs periods of time. I guess its just preferance

  • @gmanthebeast1 There is alot of preferance, but no doubt that blacks and reds are best for both typing and gaming :D And people getting tired from the keyboard is mostly at first, i would think. After a month it should be all normal. BTW, is the hand rest as good as people say, or are those over reacting?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg I dont use it...just not viable while playing rts but im sure if I was writing a long essay or somethign id hook that baby up!

  • @gmanthebeast1 I have heard that its so good you should get the keyboard just for it. But if your not using it, why not buy the 6g? Anyway, i think it should be better then the one i have, for some reason it has a curve on the edge so my hand glides of -.-

  • @MultiSnoopDawg I got the 6g then upgraded to 7g...Guess I loved the 6g so much I got it lol...YES STARCRAFT!!!!!

  • @gmanthebeast1 Add me bro, my name is Sonofpain, i dont want any comment about my name being bad :D I know it sucks, but i fear if i change it i would get my friends confused ;D

  • @MultiSnoopDawg Char code?|

  • @MultiSnoopDawg No character code?

  • @gmanthebeast1 sorry dude, the code was in a none reply comment, you ca scroll down a bit ;D its 134, now you

  • @MultiSnoopDawg You on european server?

  • @gmanthebeast1 yes, is that a bad thing?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg Im na:'(

  • @gmanthebeast1 Whats na? whatever, seems bad D:

  • @MultiSnoopDawg LOL, North American server you silly goose

  • @gmanthebeast1 he, he ,heeeh. Some people must be silly, am i right?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg We cant play together:(

  • @gmanthebeast1 dat i knew. But do you like any other game, team fortress or something?

  • @gmanthebeast1 btw, what rts? starcraft 2 :D?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg Yes, SC2 is an RTS (Real Time Strategy) game.

  • @xdzyI i mean more like, do you play it? Cause SC2 os the only game i play on my computer :D

  • Steelseries>>>>>>Razer. Durability, performance, effectiveness and they know how to make gaming equipment. Blacks( the keys that SS uses) were made for gaming. Blues are NOT for gaming and never have been. For a gaming company to put typing keys on their GAMING keyboard is absolutely retarded. Razer is a joke.

  • @gmanthebeast1 I have the Razer one, and it works nice for my gaming. Starcraft 2, Counter Strike and LoL.

  • @ClipEvent96 Guarantee you havnt had any other mech keyboard other than that one. Try other ones out, youll fall in love.

  • @gmanthebeast1 I've tried the 7g. The keys were too hard to press down for my liking. Just because you don't like the BW, doesn't mean it's not good.

  • @ClipEvent96 Go to the gym? Dont have girly fingers bro lol

  • @gmanthebeast1 You can't build muscles up in your fingers so going to the gym won't help.

  • @GotenSSJ1 Yes you can build up muscles for your fingers, they are in your fore-arm.

  • @Netwolfdt That's not in your fingers...you only have tendons inside the fingers.

  • @DusteDdekay You might also look into DAS keyboards if your a worker, they are suppose to best for typing ;D but I'm not sure if the DAS ones have black switches, they use brown ones (there is only the feeling of a click, no noise). Else, the 6Gv2 seems way to old school and classie to only be for gaming

  • @MultiSnoopDawg Classy and old school? You have absolutely no idea what youre talking about kid. What makes a MECHANICAL keyboard look old school?

  • @NapolianDynamite288 I guy did a comparison of some of those top boards, including the DAS, and the dude loved it!! He made a gaming keyboard vid and had the DAS, that's how awesome it is :D

  • @ChilledN0va I would say the brown ones are best(the stealth black widow) as they have the click in the buttom but it makes little noise. I think that people agree that the brown/blue are better for comfort, but that depends on the person using it

  • Thank you :) I was actually trying to decide between these two boards, I come from a Filco Majestouch with blue cherries, but it broke (major ghosting on certain keys) after a year.. I think I'm going to give the black cherries in the SteelSeries a go, esp. I'm not a gamer, I'm a programmer, and I think I'll appreciate the increased linearity of the black cherries :)

Oh, Btw the FN is NOT a "real" key, it will not send a keycode to your PC if pressed alone. So can't be mapped.

  • Great comparison, man. The 6Gv2 looks great. I also kinda wish it had the macro keys, but I agree with Kevin, I doubt I'd actually use them.

  • This was a very awesome review, it really helped me.

  • WHO THE FCK USES MORE THAN 6 KEYS A T A TIME????

  • @virremannen11 cool people

  • @virremannen11 No one, but it's much better to have than 2KRO that the Blackwidow has unfortunately.

  • @virremannen11 professionals.

  • I've had keyboards for macro buttons for years and I have yet to find a useful function for macros other then typing in the pokemon theme song in wow trade chat. My next keyboard wont have any useless macro keys, they just get in the way. I wish someone would tell me a useful way to make use of them.

  • im going for blackwidow, because i like the clicking sounds !

but im using the razer anansi though :p

  • lol fuck Cherry Black man Blue is SOOO nice but loud

  • On a side note you do not have to push the cherry mx blue switch all the way down for the key stroke to register. The switch has two positions 1. the key has been pressed and activated, and is not bottomed out causing a much more quiet click. 2. You go past the key activation and you get the secondary louder click as the switch bottoms out. I can't speak for the steelseries but I own the razer and I like it a lot.

  • my microsoft x4 is much better than these 2.

  • While I do understand the 6 key gate with USB....I don't think I have ever had a situation that warranted hitting more then 6 keys, exception being smacking the keyboard when frustrated.

  • I would recommend the Das Keyboard. Excellent mechanical keyboard, USB port on the side, and it's sexy.

  • lol This guy obviously just hates Razer

  • Pick whatever switch you want then purchase appropriately. Not rocket science.

  • razer's worth it for the money..great machines for gaming like always..steelseries?...i dont know about that shit..maybe they worth?..but im going for razer!!!!!!

  • @jbang391 Razer has been pretty shitty since the Deathadder 3500.

  • Could someone please note that the black widow keys aren't in line.. T_T look at F2 then 2 on the Black widow.. then look at F2 then 2 for the 6gv2.. compare:)

  • @LukeFurmidge424 They had to make some changes in the key layout to fit the macro keys on the left side.

  • i love the blackwidow, the only thign i dislike about it is its fuckng loud

  • I have Razer Blackwidow Ultimate...if anyone has the money for that, then deffinetly get it :D

  • @ReinOrgmets That is if you want to have a sexy stylish setup. If you want performance then I would recommend a different keyboard

  • @ResistenceX3 Razer's keyboard works just fine for me :) but when it ever should break or anything i will deffinetly switch it out for logitech or something.

  • Returned my Razer today. Mouse and heaphones rock, Keyboard LEDs started burning out after 3 weeks. Not abused, just normal gaming. Too bad their keyboards are still shit.

  • @PuddiTrololol You are either a troll, or someone who got a bad product. I have seen you on other videos.

    My Razer Keyboard fucking owns.

  • @samuelrosenbalm hes name is puddiTrololol... hes is mabey a troll, just a wild guess :)

  • já deste gosto de ouvir pá !

  • are the mechanical keyboards better and more confortable to type than the regular keyboards?

  • @feliperadke yes, the difference is amazing. I strongly recommend you do NOT get the 6gV2 though, as it has Cherry MX-Black switches which are the heaviest switch to type on. Either get the Blackwidow, or even better, a keyboard with Cherry MX-Red switches (such as the Rosewill series, on NewEgg).

  • the enter key and shift key made me buy the blackwidow instead :) i dont find that i press more than 6 keys at once anyway

  • i use the blackwidow and i think its alot better than 6g.. the 6g does not have any clicky feedback what so ever.. they key should activate after clicking a key down 2mm on both.. on blackwidow it clicks after 2mm the 6gv2 does not.. it clicks when u press it all the way down..

  • why the fuck would you need to push 6 keys at once...

  • @untouchablenerd lol you are definitely not a gamer

  • @untouchablenerd ever played any fighting game on computer in 2 player mode?? lol

  • @untouchablenerd even better...... it can push 10 keys at once.. that is how many your fingers are :D

  • I would love the Steel series keyboard. But the big enter key and squashed shift key would drive me nuts.

  • does the 6gv2 have backlighting on the keys?

  • For your steelseries has the letters rubbed off yet?

  • The qpad MK-50 is really nice :) MX-read instead of black. Wrist rest and better finnish than the 6gv2

  • i dont know about everyone else but i cant stand it when a keyboard has a thin enter key.

  • What if all russians spoke english like this one in HoN!

  • lol no one that accual playes rts games at a high level gives a shit or uses macro keys....

  • hold 6 to see him jerk someone off camera ^.^

  • idiots say that it is bad if keyboard has less macro keys cause they are for noobs, you have lettters , ask koreans

  • Got a xai mouse last year and loved it. Now with the 7G beside it, it's just awesome!!!! Steelseries pro gaming gear FTW!!!!

Might be a lil on the pricy side but if you use your keyboard as much as I do, its a small price to pay to have such a great tool at your fingertips.

for those of you who find the keyboard a little too loud there is an easy oring mod you can do to make it nearly silent.

  • Not sure if unferstand, but when would you want to actually press more than 6 keys at once?

  • @Parrd24 wahtc starcraft 2, or play it...

  • @MedoAzi At no point in time is a starcraft player activating 6 keys at a time.

  • @DJCr0ssify They break 300 APM. Which means theoretically they are holding 5+ keys per second. Which means they are holding 6 keys at a time, minimum.

  • Comment removed

  • only thing I wish they'd included in the 6Gv2 is a palmrest :<

  • @SuperZaizain the palm rest version is the 7g. it is literally the same keyboard i think but with palm rest but they charge you more,

  • Are you drunk or somthing?

  • What is the price for each?

  • i tryed the steel series and the blackwidow out for a good 10-15min each at the store before buying the one, i chose the black widdow mainly because i just liked how it felt better, and the click sound is far more satisfying to have then not to have, and it was cheaper then the 6gv2 by a good amount..also the macro keys realy help in any game and even just to have..3 are bound to macros and 2 open my webrowser and WMP :D

  • I like old school clicky basic solid keyboards, steelseries is for me, best purchase ive ever made. Except for that prostitute ;)

  • Steel Series looks like a pile o shit

  • it's Macro not micro you rusky....LOL

  • filco > all
