because people dont have an ear for it besides tape is an inferior product right?
thats why everything went digital because its far superior right? i can record on tape and digital and tape is a much better sound. They dont reissue it they dont know where to start these days most of the products aint as good they want your cash as cost effectively as possible wouldnt you do the same? or would you care about making everyones ear happy? id grab the money then buy 500 tape echo units
@seanlateralus yeah, but if i was head of a company i would at least try and reissue most of the better sounding products and listen to what guitarists want
Este é o típico imbecil filinho de papai que não sabe usar um vintage. Estilo DJ de hj em dia, que acha que "SOMZEIRA" é quando ta tudo estourando. VU no tálo e o retardado acha que ta abafando.
dude, invest in MUSIC and/or GUITAR LESSONS, not expensive vintage equipment!!! leave those pedals for the people that'll actually USE THEM in an effective way... also, put some shoes on, unless you are, IN FACT, playing with your feet... kinda sounds like it, at least...
i own a memory man with hazarai pedal, I believe it is all digital, however it has a modulation setting that seems very analog. I can actually get a realllllly realistic tape flutter sound out of it and the choices of delays are almost endless, but I've been drooling over the 201 for about a week now. mostly for the delay with reverb on it, its amazing.
I had a chance at getting one of these RE-201's and I never went through with it. A great echo machine, even the new one sounds good. I'm jealous brother.
In june 1970 jimmy got a Binson Echorec 2 and a Binson Echorec B2. He used them only in june 1970 - july 1971, which is around the time that gonna grove was recorded. Jimmy had echoplexes since '69, I dont know why he used these for a few years. Space echo's were first made in 1973, so he couldnt have used them to record were gonna grove as it was recorded january 9, 1970, which is jimmys birthday.
No, it's not. Don't get me wrong, I have that pedal as well, but it is surely NOT a tape echo in any way. I just see it as a digital delay with a 2 band EQ and poorly made reverb.
Tastes differ. BOSS makes solid pedals but I wouldn't say their delays are great. I had a BOSS DD-6 for a while and sold it and upgraded to a TC Electronic Nova Delay. It's a digital delay with a whole lot of options and it's just a little bigger than a BOSS pedal.
yea, ive played one of those before, it is a nice echo, I guess for 250 or 300 i could be close to real echoplex though. Any body used the daneletro reel echo? Ive heard its nice but nobody ever has them in stock.
I would so, go with the Deluxe Memory Man. I own a tape delay as well, a Dynacord Echocord Mini, and it is really up there with the old tape delays. Personally, the DMM is my all time favorite delay.

@44eelz its too expensive for them to make them like this now. All their money is in digital (inferior) chips and stuff.

The emulations of this on the Boss GT-8 and GT-10 (Oct FUZZ) are nearly spot on. No need to get rinsed buying an original!

Pure beef! Slap a fulltone ultimate octave in there too and you've got my dream set-up.

Have you seen the input meter? You are overloading the RE-201...that won't do it any good.

jimmy page used one. he hid them behind his marshalls

the MXR Carbon Copy Delay is pretty good. it has a modulation button that ads tape "Flutter" to simulate the old tape echoes.
