  • CLIPPING WAY TOO MUCH AND THAT SHIT IS WAY TO FUCKED TO FIX

  • I wish I wasn't afraid to destroy a $700 effect by melting the input.

  • I just saw BOTH of these for sale and although I don't really have the money, it pains me not to have bought them

  • put some socks on

  • Por favor que manera de estropear un bello aparato. Patoso !!!

  • i dont understand if the original stuff sounds way better why dont these companies just reissue all the vintage stuff?

  • because people dont have an ear for it besides tape is an inferior product right?

thats why everything went digital because its far superior right? i can record on tape and digital and tape is a much better sound. They dont reissue it they dont know where to start these days most of the products aint as good they want your cash as cost effectively as possible wouldnt you do the same? or would you care about making everyones ear happy? id grab the money then buy 500 tape echo units

  • @seanlateralus yeah, but if i was head of a company i would at least try and reissue most of the better sounding products and listen to what guitarists want

  • @44eelz its too expensive for them to make them like this now. All their money is in digital (inferior) chips and stuff.

  • I just one of these from a guy at chruch for free and man are they great. the space echo that is.

  • what fuzz is this? i like it

  • @jingwah Ace Tone FuzzMaster-2 (FM-2). Made by Roland's predecessor Ace Tone.

  • hehe... two position VU meter.

  • you raped this space echo

  • input level down!!

  • why? maybe he wanted the sound of tape saturation...

  • Bash It

  • I smell there's someone envy ;)

  • jealous much?

  • haaaaater alert!!!

  • hahahaha yea cosm modeling man, sounds like shit!

  • Pure beef! Slap a fulltone ultimate octave in there too and you've got my dream set-up.

  • Have you seen the input meter? You are overloading the RE-201...that won't do it any good.

  • @noizy4 YOU ARE A PUSSY!

  • @noizy4 It won't sound as good, but he is not harming it.

  • i own a memory man with hazarai pedal, I believe it is all digital, however it has a modulation setting that seems very analog. I can actually get a realllllly realistic tape flutter sound out of it and the choices of delays are almost endless, but I've been drooling over the 201 for about a week now. mostly for the delay with reverb on it, its amazing.

  • Wow - This is the fuzz tone I'm after. That huge dry crunch.

  • I had a chance at getting one of these RE-201's and I never went through with it. A great echo machine, even the new one sounds good. I'm jealous brother.

  • what is that fuzz called? it sounds fucking sick right after you turn it on at like 15 seconds

  • Does this thing oscillate?

  • yes

  • and simulates it digitally you may as well get any other delay pedal, the whole point of getting one of these is for proper tape delay

  • I need one of these Im trying to recreate a Randy Rhoads tone for my Tribute band cuz he used one of these Amazing

  • jimmy page used one. he hid them behind his marshalls

  • he used echoplexes that were always on top of his marshalls. One for his guitar and one for the theremin

  • well on were gonna groove during the solo its a space echo

thats what i use and i get the exact same effect

  • In june 1970 jimmy got a Binson Echorec 2 and a Binson Echorec B2. He used them only in june 1970 - july 1971, which is around the time that gonna grove was recorded. Jimmy had echoplexes since '69, I dont know why he used these for a few years. Space echo's were first made in 1973, so he couldnt have used them to record were gonna grove as it was recorded january 9, 1970, which is jimmys birthday.

  • no what i ment to say was i use a space echo 201 and i get the exact same sound

im not sayin he used them

  • ok yeah. Im looking for a good delay for about 250 or 300. Is there any really good ones that sound like a echoplex out there?

  • check out bosses twin pedal collection they have a boss remake of the space echo 201 its called RE-20 and its amazing check it out

  • No, it's not. Don't get me wrong, I have that pedal as well, but it is surely NOT a tape echo in any way. I just see it as a digital delay with a 2 band EQ and poorly made reverb.

  • well yeah all of bosses are digital but i personaly think there very good pedals

  • Tastes differ. BOSS makes solid pedals but I wouldn't say their delays are great. I had a BOSS DD-6 for a while and sold it and upgraded to a TC Electronic Nova Delay. It's a digital delay with a whole lot of options and it's just a little bigger than a BOSS pedal.

  • o yeaH TCELECTRONICS have unbelevable pedals i have there disortion and its great but yeah as you said tastes differ

  • the MXR Carbon Copy Delay is pretty good. it has a modulation button that ads tape "Flutter" to simulate the old tape echoes.

  • yea, ive played one of those before, it is a nice echo, I guess for 250 or 300 i could be close to real echoplex though. Any body used the daneletro reel echo? Ive heard its nice but nobody ever has them in stock.

  • I would so, go with the Deluxe Memory Man. I own a tape delay as well, a Dynacord Echocord Mini, and it is really up there with the old tape delays. Personally, the DMM is my all time favorite delay.

  • where is the good distortion sound coming from the amp or is that a separate pedal?

  • i want the space echo so badly. it sounds effing brilliant!
