  • NEVER IMAGINED that one???!!!

  • Wonderful! Thanks to MIT for posting...from a non-student. :o)

  • 1 person is a creationist.

  • Thanks for posting this. 101 evolutionary biology overview. Most of the subject matter was covered in grade school, middle school, and high school. So, no one is lost when he gives this overview.

  • MIT has some cutting edge science & technology.

What is that futuristic writing device and surface that he is using?

  • er thats actually up to the professor's preference. look at their psychology class

  • @nemirn they call that "chalk" & "board". chalkboard.

  • ummmmmm peppered moths yummy

  • just listen he's gettin to it lol

  • Comment removed

  • Science Fiction, plain and simple

  • how so?

  • gott

Just listen at what he says

  • how about you support your claim rather than try to make people figure out what you're talking about?

  • Mew

If a frog turns into a Prince in an instant that´s a fairy tale, isn´t it?

If given roughly 500 millions years to those Cambrian marine creatures they could turn into all sort land dwelling animals living and extinct including humans (Prince), so basically the fairy tale takes only an instant and your fairy tale takes 500 millions years, right'

So what´s the difference? the amount of time it takes, that´s all, so what this man is teaching as science is a fairy tale, period.

  • What? That doesn't show how all the evidence in support of evolution is wrong. Attacking the ToE with an inane comparison shows more about your critical thinking skills than anything else

  • Mewshy

What evidence do you have that support your proven fairy tale for grown-ups taught as science all over the world?

Bacterias turning resisten to antibiotics?, human beings also turn resisten to different diseases, that´s evidence that in the future human will evolve to something else other than humans?, you have got to be kidding?

How about speciation? is ludicrous, let alone peppered moths, etc, etc.

Come on, show me a real evidence that worths as an evidence for your fairy tale.

  • you dont belive in EVIDENCE remember

  • river

you don´t believ in EVIDENCE remember...

What evidence, real evidence do you have to support your irrational and certainly unscientific idea that all sort of land dwelling animals living and extinct evolved from those Cambrian marine creatures? How do you want me to believe if you have not showed ANY?

Again, speciation, adaptation, bacterias turning resistent to antibiotics, peppered moths, etc, etc, ARE NOT evidence for such a fantastic ever ocurred.

  • lmao

  • river

    Imao you mean?

I´d better say I´m not gullible enough to believe and accept without any questioning that all sort of land dwelling animals living and extinct descent somehow from those Cambrian marine creatures, how about that?

Why do you believe such an stupid assertion with no evidence whatsoever?, just because you were taught at school?

Just because Martin Palz is teaching all this stuff as it were science I have to believe it without questioning?, I don´t think so, do you?

  • Your mind was made up well before you started bitching about evolution on this page, so me trying to convince you otherwise will be a futile effort.

Also, there's Google, if you have ever heard of it. You can find the evidence yourself, if you're actually willing to understand the opposition's viewpoint (which you aren't)

  • Mewshy

If by evolution you mean, allele frequency changes, descent with modification, bacterias turning resisten to antiobiotics (micro-evolution), speciation (macro-evolution), adaptation, natural selection, etc, etc, yeees, there is plenty of evidence, BUT if you define evolution as the process by which those Cambrian marine creatures turned into all sort of land dwelling animals, noooope, there is no evidence at all, there is NONE, if you have any show it, you can get a Nobel prize.

  • At the end of the Cambrian Period, about 488 million years ago, most of the animals and plants on Earth died out. This is probably because of a global climate change or a lack of oxygen in the ocean, but nobody knows much about it. After this mass extinction, we begin a new period called the Ordovician Period.

  • Part Two: 443 million years ago, another catastrophe caused most of the sea creatures to die once again. It may be that Earth became much colder, so that permanent ice caps formed at the North and South Pole [View map] . Because so much water was in the ice, the shallower oceans dried up and killed the creatures that lived in them. This catastrophe marks the change to the Silurian period.

  • Part Three: The first fish formed. At the end of the Silurian period, about 416 million years ago, a bunch of smaller environmental problems killed off a lot of plants and animals again and started the Devonian period.

  • Part Four: About 375 million years ago, some of the fish developed legs and began to walk on land. These amphibians were the first animals with spinal cords to leave the water. Near the end of the Devonian period (360 million years ago), some larger and more complicated plants evolved on land too. The end.

  • Lastly, information came from a grade school web site for 8 year olds, here: historyforkids(DOT)org/scienceforkids/geology/eras/cambrian.htm

  • @Mewshy

You have to have faith to believe in creationism or evolution. So, don't be so distraught when someone doesn't believe the same thing as you. There is a love of evidence that could make you believe evolution exists..... there's also a lot of gaps. It takes a lot of faith to believe those gaps were connected by evolutionary happenings. If you believe that, that's fine! But don't blast someone's viewpoint for being too narrow-minded. If you are, then you're being narrow-minded yourself.

  • he supports no claems ,he just talks shit then gets stumped and runs away

  • hey chuy say something worth hearing

  • river

hey chuy say something worth hearing

Hey riverlifeva support your belief in the implausible hypothesis (I´ll say impossible) that those Cambrian marine creatures evolved to all sort of land dwelling animals living and extinct including humans, "with something worth of science", ALL you´ve allways presented is:Speciation, allelle frequency changes, descent with modification, bacteria turning resistent to antibiotics, etc. Do you have something that is really worth of science?

  • lol pluck a nerve did i , i heard nothing new chuy read what you write because you clearly have no answers to ANYONES questions

  • short and simple lecture. I like it

  • cool !!!
