@ogdoad4 no, it was an American daytime soap actress, also named Kim Walker, who died, not the Kim Walker from Desmonds.

I read that she had died but then I found out it was another Kim Walker so I am trying to find out what happened to the Kim Walker on Desmond's? Do you have any information that is accurate as to what happened to this Jamaican star?

@hennesseyify I wish I knew too - I've asked everywhere I can think of online, but everyone keeps mixing her up with the American actress Kim Walker who died. If you do happen to hear, I would love to know too. Gloria was one of my favourite Desmond's characters, and Kim had great potential that was obviously not fulfilled.

@djbigpean Bill Cosby saw an episode of Desmond's when he was visiting the UK, and was so impressed he invited Norman Beaton (Desmond) to appear on an episode of The Cosby Show. There was some talk of it being a semi-regular spot, but sadly Norman became too ill to travel to the US.

as a whiteman, i used to love desmonds as a kid, i can remember getting in late from school some times and at 6-7 o'clock desmonds came on. as a kid, i thought desmonds was "sheer brilliance. i can still remember that song when it first started coming on. THIS COMEDY RINGS SUPREME, ITS UP THEIR WITH THE GREATS.

I love Desmonds, they don't make comedies like this anymore. These were the days before the PC brigade came along.
