What do you mean by Kill Marks?

@CheckMySix those little japs flags on f6f hellat are called kill marks

You need a editing Program like Photoshop or Gimp[Free]

Then using a Default Skin or a downloaded one Create a Layer and add

Image of Rising Sun image then Reduce Size to represent Kill Marking.

This is a very basic explaination of whats involved.

tis' a great clip! :) just wondering, how'd you get the nice camera angles? i'm referring to the one where the camera is static on the tail of the F6 lookin' forwards, as well as the scene from 2:33 to 2:52. it seems almost as if you're recording the whole action while "aboard another plane", and it makes it just so realistic! how'd you do it? :)

You need a Mod called PatSmoke from AllAircraftSimulation com.

It allows you to unlock the F2 External view an pan around freely.

You use F8 and F9 Keys to activate.

I am sure it does but if not you can pick up il2 1946 really cheap now.

You have to create yellow folder and call it "mod" in IL-2 Root and put New Mods including PAT_Smoke into it then download "Jgsmemod" add the PAT_Smoke mod into the Jgsmemod folder then activate using Jgsmemod Generator

Cool little movie. I love the Hellcat. Excellent camera work and flying. Very nice music as well. The only thing I didn't like was the shooting at the Zeke that already had lost a wing.

Just a little suggestion to your "DogFight" Tributes. If you made them a little more fast paced if you know what I mean. Same goes with the music. The intesinty is there though not amplified. Tough I love the desaturation is awesome and composing your own music is great too. Just a little constructive critiscism I still like your style alot.

all is missing is that guy narratin the whole thing

"as the hellcat climbs, the zero dives on him, head on. But the grumman f6f has better armor and can take more damage than the zero, it's the f6f fight. Both start shooting and almost instantly, the zeros left wing is riped off, the f6f has won the battle but its not over yet, the hellcat has taken severe damage and the pilot manages to bail out, later he is rescued by the USS Something and later is awarded with a medal

@Ricardowgr - Actually, I don't miss any narration. To the dedicated Flight simmer/aviation enthusiast, all that stuff is 'understood'. If someone is really interested, they'll do some reading on their own (nothing like the retention of researching it on your own!) If this were an Av Channel vid, that's a different story.

Dialogue is an art as well. Knowing when it's needed is key.

I know that an other movie maker named Jafaem used this view as well in his "Airshow" movie.

I used PATsmoke MOD which allows you to un-padlock camera and pan freely around.

Go to AllAircraftArcade for MOD.

I am that noob, I was flying like this on purpose so as to give the impression I was being mauled by an Ace[HONEST] lol :p

The Hellcats thick armour could take a lot of punishment unlike the more manouverable but less armoured Zero.

Hence, I WIN lol :p

Watereffect=1 change to =2,3,4

I set my water to =2 max also,

it looks great and if it set higher it can effect Fraps framerate.

Fraps isnt great over water even at =2 especially with multiple objects so a higher value would be a framerate killer.

I havn't changed sky,forest,land or shadow for same reason.

This MAY vary though depending on system spec.

Fine...But you could have got free music soundtracks or soundfonts on the Net...That's what I do until I can get my keyboard hooked up on MIDI port to my laptop and compose myself...

Or you could have downloaded soundtracks and modifed/edited them using Audacity, but I don't k ow if legally this is considered as a violation of copyright or if you have to ask permission to the authors firts...

Unless you know 100% that a piece of music is not copyright then you should assume it is.

Even modifying music is a violation without the owners permission.

The only way to guarentee that you are NOT violating copyright is to create your own music,hence I suggested Magix Music Maker.

Besides you are rewarded with making your own music and you WONT have it removed by Youtube.

Yeah I created the soundtrack myself so as to avoid copyright violation.

I used Magix Music Maker Soundpool DVD Collection 15[£19.99],this version comes with a Movie Score genre which is the one I used.

I only received it from Amazon 2 days before posting vid and knocked this together quick hence No brass.

Its very user friendly.

Make sure if you do buy that it has BONUS:Magix Music Make Basic Edition included or you wont be able to use.

I think the song fits perfectly to the theme of the movie. It has a nice militaristic and dramatic feeling. If you want more dramatic sound, try to use more brass instruments ;) Keep up the good work! Btw, the movie looks great too!

I had the vid ready with no music and after a few hours practice on MMM I came up with this score.

have to play on very low graphig compared to what i used to play, and then i still lagg, besides it aint much fun anymore in game with all those lies about me, soon ive got bf2 and then i go back to my sniper skills instead of flying skills, somethimes ill be found in il2, but just in private servers for like 30 minutes for having some fun with my nephew.

I am using the mouse to track and purposely adding movement to give the impression that its being filmed from another aircraft.

Your dead right off course about using it to much,I will limit it to using only in turns during combat and not so much when flying straight.
