i started to cry like a baby the moment mer said 'oh god' honestly, goosebumps formed on my arms, i got chills and shivers down my spine. i don't think i'll ever get that again watching a movie or a show. grey's anatomy is truly the greatest. i mean, everything is planned out. it just perfectly fits. i want to be a doctor too, a surgeon. since i was five i walked around with siccors cutting in my dolls and stuff & now i see this. people die on you but its nothing compared to the lifes you safe

I love how Shonda wrote this season from the beginning with the ending in mind. How George's appearance was purposefully cut to tie in with the parallels of Izzie's condition. Mer's voiceover was great. Everyone thought they had to say goodbye to Izzie, and no one managed to say "I love you" to George. And the ending with Izzie and her dress, it's tied in with the first episode's ending. Can't wait for more!

yeh i know he is I read it on Wikipedia little summary of season 6 : it said that Alex will be a little traumatized from Izzies near death experience and George will die and every one wil be greving and Owen and Christina start over ( build their relationship but i think that Owen is going to get blamed for George's death by Callie and everyone ( which I don't want to happen) and Christina is going to try and stick up for him.

I thought he meant that the girl was lying and that would be the reason for him to write 007... but then Meredith starts to freak out! I think we were paying attentio to izzie... and when it happen to george we were like WTF????????

I think Izzy and George will live, George was getting Izzy off of the elevator, also Izzy was flatling because of something else beside her brain so it wasnt her tumor thingy that was like killing her.

izzie you expected to die. she had the cancer you knew something like this was coming. with george it was one of those gut wrenching moments, i was literally shaking the entire episode because of the george thing. you could tell it was him from his eyes when he opened them.

its just to heartbreaking =[

I'm really sad cause this is so not the way I envisioned my two favorite characters on this show to possibly go out. Whenever I watch this ending, I think of season one and I wanna cry. OMG, that is one hell of a twist with George. I don't think he deserves to go out like that. I'm hoping that they'll both be okay.

first of all i gotta say i didn't enjoy this episode as much as i hoped...a season finale should end up happily or, at least, not in such a tragical way!! even if i think george is the one that's gonna die, and he's not been that important in theshow lately i think they've gone a little bit overboard;)..last year's fnale was so much better!!

they are trying to keep people on the edge of their seats. you have to keep them wanting to see more. having a happy ending would just end the show.
