As the Kid Buu is the original Buu he didn't absorbed and "ate chocolat" wich means he have definetly less energy and power. The drawback is that he have a very strong regeneration capacity, physical and energy both.

As a proof, in the VO of Dbz, Goku said himself that this one was much much weaker upon looking at him. As for the reason they couldn't fuse again, the potara (earrings) were destroyed.

Yeah right Kid buu would be fortunate to land a punch on Vegito at Super Saiyan. Remember after Super Buu had the absorbees removed and Goku said his power was increasing as he became kid buu....well, I doubt that power would be enough to fight with Vegito evenly and even if it was, he could easily go ss2 or God forbid SS3 and absolutely crush him. And if that was the case imagine how great GT could have been with Vegito.
