  • I know he did one of the drills fcked up

  • Fresh J's

  • you did the ikie shuffle wrong

  • do you do these exercises by finishing all given sets of one then moving on, or doing one set of one exercise then moving on.

  • we've drill #3 A lately on our pre season practices, first year actually playing(played last year but wasn't motavated and didn't go to pre season practice)

But yeah I've been using tiles @ my house to get these drills and my footwork right. since we do it a practice, 2-a-days should be comming soon...

  • I had not seen the 5th drill. That was pretty cool.

I agree with other folks, the ickey shuffle he displayed is not the same one we use. It looks like a good drill, just not the ickey shuffle.

  • How many reps. should you do of each drill? I am assuming a 5 drill workout will take about 10 minutes, if you take into account the rest period between each and if you are doing 1 rep of each drill. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

  • do about 10reps of each, im 13years old im white and i can do this ladder exercises 50times faster than that black dude, i'd make a vid but my camera sucks. i've done it for two years and i am faster and quicker than most high school athletes, and jumping rope is SUPER IMPORTANT do about 1000 a day FAST is key, also sprint up very steep hills a few times a week, do this religiously and you'll be unmatched in speed

  • I dont think he was going as fast as he wanted to as this was a teaching video. If you've been doing it as long as you say you have then clearly you have the advantage. This guy was just learning the drill. But I hope you make an impact somewhere. What do you play?

  • Ponganme a hacer eso pa q veoçan q me los perreo JajaJAjaJaAJAaJ

  • not the icky shuffule new fish

  • yea thats not icky shuffle

  • hey will you tell me like the basic ladder drills

the ones that relate to basketball too

  • All of the exercises are applicable, however the technique used by the athlete is terrible.

Within the next couple of weeks, I'm going to post a series of videos to give plyometrics guidance with a football/track and field touch.

  • haha i hear the ice cream trucks from my headphones in the video

  • do you think if i use ankle weights it will make you as quick than not using them?

  • yes.

I have 10 pound ankle weights and I used them on for the first time today.

At first, it was extremely heavy on my feet but then i started doing things with the ball and I it kinda feels like slow mo. When you do stepovers, it is slow. But when you take off the ankle weights after a while not only your legs feel stronger but you move like a helicopter. Its what Cristiano ronaldo uses.

  • no, dont use ankle weights i dont care which soccer player endorses them. using weight resistance for agility drills is not only counter intuitive it is counterproductive, it trains your nervous system to move that much weight at a slower speed and it makes you slower but slightly stronger with more slow twitch muscles recruited rather than fast twitch.

  • so when I want to train speed endurance and agility and explosion trainings I can't use weights or either bands resistance ?? as you say

((it makes you slower but slightly stronger)) and I want to have a fast twitch and explosive muscle

if you know what you are saying please reply me.Thanks

  • @enta3omry293 I think your fast twitch nervous system should be trained seperatly. The closest connection between fast twitch and resistance training is power cleans. A good way to understand it is running up hill will make your legs stronger but heavier and slower, Running down hill will make your nerous system faster so when you run on flat land you are faster, more explosive, and agile. Its importatnt to train both for strength and explosion. But be smart with resistance.

  • @enta3omry293 What sport are you training for too. Olympic Lifters and track and field throwers use alot of explosive lifts with alot of resitance which is something i think is very useful when done correctly. It generally produces a heavy athlete with great explosive strength.

  • @Shadapaga I ply karate shotokan and

my training depends on explosive and

fast twitched muscles in legs and hands and core

so I use the bands in training and light weights

is there is any problem in that?and

if you have another ideas in reaching a

higher level in speed and strength

but I need speed more or explosive

  • great vid

    mybasketballworld40dotcom

  • nice arm action.....NOT

  • haha

  • I hate sounding like one of those cocky know-it-all's but this guys technique is awful.

  • haha it is though...

  • what is the modified icky shuffle?

  • nice video!

  • you forgot the icky shuffle

    and modified icky

  • thats the jicky shuffle.

  • This a great workout for athletes. Keep up the good job.

  • in the real icky shuffle, you put your second foot in the same rung your first foot is coming out of at the same time.

  • useful vid thanks
