Notice from 2:41 to 2:52 in the clip they didn't do anything to try and make the satellite LF data fit into the boxes in the LF video. That is when cable subscribers would've been getting their precipitation forecast for the next 24 hours which was an addition to the local forecast on both MeteoMedia and The Weather Network beginning during this 2001/2002 winter season.
@KgnK1 Hey dude thanks for the clip ! Memories...2:42 - 2:52 that's because you have the satellite version of the Local Forecasts...On the cable provider you would saw the precipitations forecasts in the bottom like TWN do today...MM changed this concept in 2003 and putted this on the first window, and do a 24h period rotation on the 2 others. The Local Forecast Music of this video was released on Monday December 8th, at the same time they indroduced the 7 days forecasts, new icones and 1m30 LF
Thank you! The first segment, Saviez-vous, is a Sound Ideas song I have, as well as the Facteur Temps intro. As for the LF... no clue, maybe the same library as the other missing titles of the late 90's/early 2000's?
@andrewmorrison85 MeteoMedia seemed to have its own flavour back then and used some music that was different from what we would've heard on TWN at that time. I like the MeteoMatin intro music, kind of a nice music bed for a start-your-day morning show.
@KgnK1 I cant remember where I found it but I know I came across the production track for the MeteoMatin intro a while back, I'll try and find it again. Awesome vid btw.
I've uploaded this video again... the audio problems before must have had something to do with the fact I transferred it from a VCR that only had mono sound. For some reason it got messed up when I uploaded it to youtube. This time I used my other VCR with stereo. Anyway, I compiled these clips from MeteoMedia recorded in March 2002 that I recently found on an old tape. Enjoy!
